Diego Rincones: Released from minors deal
Rincones was released by the Tigers on Friday, Evan Woodbery of MLive.com reports.
The 24-year-old joined the Tigers on a minor-league contract back in December and had slashed .242/.306/.401 with seven homers and 37 RBI through 51 games (206 plate appearances) this season for Double-A Erie. Rincones' numbers have regressed since an intriguing 2021 split between High-A and Double-A, and given his age he could have trouble catching on with another organization.
