Dodgers' Emmet Sheehan: Comes up one out short of win
Sheehan allowed one run on six hits and a walk while striking out seven over 4.2 innings in a no-decision versus Atlanta on Friday.
Sheehan pitched well but got into a jam in the fifth inning. He was pulled at 88 pitches (64 strikes), and Alex Vesia was able to escape the trouble with no damage done. Sheehan has fallen short of the five-inning mark in consecutive starts, and he's gone four outings without a win despite allowing a modest eight runs across 20.2 innings in that span. For the season, he's at a 4.79 ERA, 1.35 WHIP and 43:10 K:BB through 35.2 innings across seven starts. As long as the walk rate stays down, Sheehan should continue to improve. His next start is tentatively projected to be at home versus the Giants.

Dodgers' Emmet Sheehan: Gives up four runs Friday
Sheehan (2-1) took the loss Friday against the Cardinals, allowing four runs on eight hits, including two home runs, across 4.2 innings. He struck out eight and did not issue a walk.
Sheehan has posted an impressive 18:1 K:BB in 11 innings over his last two starts, but even with the strikeouts Friday, he endured arguably his worst outing since his season debut, when he allowed four runs on 3.1 frames in a no-decision against the Diamondbacks on March 27. Through six starts, Sheehan has gone 2-1 with a 5.23 ERA, 1.32 WHIP and 36:9 K:BB in 31 innings. He's a good source of strikeouts, but he's struggled with run prevention, allowing three or more earned runs in four of his six appearances thus far. Sheehan is slated to make his next start on the road against the Astros.

Dodgers' Emmet Sheehan: Fans 10 in no-decision
Sheehan allowed one run on four hits, a walk and a hit batsman while striking out 10 over 6.1 innings in a no-decision versus the Cubs on Friday.
Sheehan was dialed in, throwing 64 of 101 pitches for strikes in his best and longest outing of the season. He was in line for the win, but the Dodgers' bullpen wasn't able to protect the lead. Over five starts, Sheehan has a 4.78 ERA, 1.25 WHIP and 28:9 K:BB across 26.1 innings. He displayed strikeout potential in 2025 with a 10.9 K/9 over 73.1 innings in the regular season, and most of his struggles early in 2026 can be attributed to a .294 BABIP, compared to .246 last year. Sheehan's next start is projected to be on the road in St. Louis.

Dodgers' Emmet Sheehan: Throws five solid innings Saturday
Sheehan took a no-decision Saturday against the Rockies, allowing two runs on four hits and two walks in five innings. He struck out four.
Given the tough environment for pitchers at Coors Field, Sheehan managed to deliver a solid outing Saturday and kept the ball in the yard for the first time this year. After giving up eight runs over his first nine innings of the season, the right-hander is starting to find more of a rhythm while surrendering five runs across his last 11 frames. Sheehan still owns a disappointing 5.85 ERA, 1.40 WHIP and 18:8 K:BB through 20 innings overall, but he'll be looking to build off Saturday's showing next weekend against the Cubs.

Dodgers' Emmet Sheehan: Registers win, quality start
Sheehan (2-0) earned the win over Texas on Saturday, pitching six innings and allowing three runs on four hits and one walk while striking out six batters.
Things didn't start out promisingly for Sheehan, as he served up a homer to Brandon Nimmo to begin the game. Nimmo added another homer -- this time a two-run shot -- off Sheehan in the sixth, but that wasn't enough to prevent the right-hander from logging a quality start and finishing with the victory. Sheehan has allowed four homers and 11 total earned runs through 15 innings for a 6.60 ERA, but he has two wins under his belt and doesn't seem to be at any risk of losing his starting role in the near future. He's projected to next face the Rockies in Colorado.

Dodgers' Emmet Sheehan: Hangs on for first win
Sheehan (1-0) picked up the win in Friday's 13-6 victory over the Nationals, giving up four runs on seven hits and three walks over 5.2 innings. He struck out two.
After lasting just 3.1 innings in his first start of the season March 27, it looked like Sheehan might be headed for another early exit when he served up a three-run homer to CJ Abrams in the first inning. The right-hander settled in after that, however, and once the Dodgers erupted for five runs in the top of the third, they never relinquished the lead. Sheehan tossed 61 of 98 pitches for strikes, and he'll look to keep shaving down his 8.00 ERA in his next outing, which lines up to come at home next weekend against the Rangers.

Dodgers' Emmet Sheehan: Chased in fourth inning
Sheehan allowed four runs on five hits and two walks while striking out six over 3.1 innings in a no-decision versus the Diamondbacks on Friday.
Sheehan's season debut wasn't great, as Arizona was able to work his pitch count up early. He gave up an RBI double to Alek Thomas in the second inning and a solo home run to Ketel Marte in the third. Sheehan was pulled in the fourth when Thomas was set to come back up to the plate, but reliever Jack Dreyer gave up a two-run double to tack on more runs to Sheehan's line. Sheehan had some troubles in the spring with an 11:6 K:BB across 10.2 innings while pitching to a 5.91 ERA, but he was able to earn a rotation spot anyway. The right-hander is likely on a short leash, though he may stick as a starter if the Dodgers go to a six-man rotation at some point. Sheehan will look to rebound in his next projected start, which is tentatively lined up to be on the road versus the Nationals next week.
