Cooke was reassigned to minor-league Thursday.
Cooke has pitched nearly exclusively in relief during his pro career and could be in line for his debut in 2024 after reaching Triple-A Buffalo in 2023. He struggled with his control at the level in a small sample and also walked three batters across 5.2 innings this spring.
