White Sox's Aldrin Batista: Makes return from IL
Batista (elbow) has struck out three batters and has allowed three runs (two earned) on three hits and two walks across four innings over two relief appearances since being reinstated from High-A Winston-Salem's 7-day injured list Tuesday.
Though Batista has picked up wins in both of his outings since making his return from a stress fracture of his right elbow, he's struggled to regain his control following a four-plus-month layoff from game action. In addition to issuing two walks, Batista has also hit three batters in four innings.

White Sox's Aldrin Batista: Facing multi-month absence
Batista was diagnosed with a stress fracture in his right elbow Sunday and is expected to be sidelined 2-to-3 months, Scott Merkin of MLB.com reports.
The right-hander landed on the shelf at High-A Winston-Salem in early April and will be sidelined for at least the next couple months. Batista had a 3.40 ERA, 1.26 WHIP and 87:33 K:BB across 84.2 innings at the Single-A level last year and made just one start this season before suffering the injury.

White Sox's Aldrin Batista: Shelved at High-A
High-A Winston-Salem placed Batista on its 7-day injured list April 9 due to an unspecified injury.
Batista likely sustained the injury or was pitching through it in his 2025 debut April 6, when he allowed two runs (one earned) on two hits and three walks over 3.2 innings. The 21-year-old struggled mightily with his control in the outing, spotting just 42 of his 77 pitches for strikes and throwing three wild pitches.

White Sox's Aldrin Batista: Dominant run at High-A
Batista had a 1.04 ERA, 0.85 WHIP and 29:6 K:BB in 26 innings over five starts with High-A Winston-Salem.
Acquired from the Dodgers in August 2023 in exchange for international slot money, Batista posted a 3.51 ERA, 1.25 WHIP and 87 strikeouts in 84.2 innings across 17 starts for Single-A Kannapolis before getting promoted to Winston-Salem on Aug. 6. Batista is a slender 6-foot-2 righty who operates with a low-to-mid-90s fastball and a pair of decent secondary offerings. He built up to a career-best 110.2 innings this year and should spend a good chunk of 2025 in the upper levels of the minors.
