Dodgers' Garrett McDaniels: Returned to Dodgers
McDaniels cleared waivers Saturday and was returned to the Dodgers, Jeff Fletcher of The Orange County Register reports.
McDaniels turned in a 5.91 ERA and 1.97 WHIP across 10.2 innings before a biceps injury sent him to the injured list in May. The Angels designated McDaniels for assignment Monday after he was reinstated from the IL, and he will now return to the organization he began his professional career with before he was selected in the Rule 5 Draft over the winter. He will most likely report to Triple-A Oklahoma City and serve as bullpen depth for the Dodgers.

Angels' Garrett McDaniels: Activated and DFA'd by Angels
The Angels activated McDaniels (biceps) from the 15-day injured list and designated him for assignment Monday.
McDaniels is over the biceps injury that sent him to the IL in early May, but the Angels have decided not to add him back to their active roster. The Rule 5 pick will be available for other teams to claim via waivers, but if he clears he must be offered back to the Dodgers for $50,000.

McDaniels (biceps) was sent to Triple-A Salt Lake on Tuesday to continue his rehab assignment.
McDaniels made three appearances in the rookie-level Arizona Complex League, allowing two runs (one earned) with a 7:3 K:BB over 4.1 frames. The lefty reliever has been out for more than a month with biceps tendinitis, but his activation from the 15-day injured list should come soon.

McDaniels (biceps) has been throwing to hitters at the Angels' complex in Arizona, per MLB.com.
McDaniels landed on the 15-day IL in early May due to left biceps tendinitis. The southpaw will likely need a minor-league rehab stint before he's ready to be activated. McDaniels could be back in the big-league bullpen sometime in June.

Angels' Garrett McDaniels: Lands on IL with biceps injury
The Angels placed McDaniels on the 15-day injured list Saturday due to left biceps tendinitis, retroactive to May 2.
McDaniels is coming off a tough appearance against the Tigers on Thursday, when he allowed three runs on three hits and one walk while striking out one batter in one inning. He may have tweaked his left biceps during that outing, and he'll undergo further testing to establish a timeline for his return from the injured list. With McDaniels on the IL and Jake Eder optioned to Triple-A Salt Lake, the Angels replenished their bullpen by promoting Touki Toussaint and Michael Darrell-Hicks from Triple-A in corresponding moves.

Angels' Garrett McDaniels: Unable to rescue starter
McDaniels tossed one-third of an inning against the Astros on Friday, allowing one run on two hits and one walk.
The Angels were down just one run when McDaniels entered in the fifth frame, but starter Jack Kochanowicz had loaded the bases with two outs after already having given up two runs in the inning. McDaniels had a chance to stem the tide, but he instead gave up a grand slam to Yainer Diaz on the third pitch he threw. The lefty hurler allowed two more baserunners before getting out of the frame, and though only one run was charged to his line, it was a rough outing for the rookie. McDaniels has been working in middle relief for the Angels this season and has a 6.23 ERA, 2.54 WHIP and 4:5 K:BB through 4.1 frames so far.
