Henderson, who will turn 46 later this month, is coming off a knockout at UFC 199 of Hector Lombard. He said after the fight he was contemplating retirement and wanted to go out on top. A win at UFC 204 would certainly make that possible for the veteran fighter. Henderson is 32-14 in his MMA career.
Bisping is riding a four-fight win streak, including his first-round knockout of Luke Rockhold at UFC 199 to claim the middleweight belt and holds a 29-7 professional MMA record.
The fight will take place in Bisping's hometown of Manchester, England.
Meanwhile, No. 5 middleweight Vitor Belfort will take on No. 8 Gregard Mousasi. Belfort is coming off a first-round TKO loss to Ronaldo Souza at UFC 198.
Plus, light heavyweight Ovince Saint Preux is back in the ring for his first match since losing to Jon Jones in April to take on Jimi Manuwa.
