J.P. Macura: Heads to Turkey
Turkish club Afyon Belediye announced Tuesday that it signed Macura to a contract.
Macura made one appearance at the NBA level in 2019-20, making a one-minute cameo for the Cavaliers back in February when he was playing under a 10-day contract. The 25-year-old shooting guard otherwise spent the season in the G League, averaging 14.2 points, 4.3 boards, 2.4 steals, 2.2 assists and 2.0 treys in 29.0 minutes per game.

J.P. Macura: Reports back to G League
Macura rejoined the G League's Canton Charge this week after his 10-day contract with the Cavaliers expired. He played 27 minutes Tuesday in the Charge's 121-116 win over the College Park Skyhawks, finishing with nine points (2-6 FG, 0-2 3Pt, 2-2 FT), four rebounds and three assists.
Macura logged one one-minute appearance during his week-and-a-half-long stint with the Cavaliers before the NBA team opted not to extend him to another 10-day deal. The second-year pro should receive steady playing time with Canton for the rest of the season unless another NBA team chooses to sign him to its 15-man roster.

Cavaliers' J.P. Macura: Signs with Cavaliers
Macura signed a 10-day contract with the Cavaliers on Sunday.
Macura, a sharpshooting guard, will get his second shot at NBA action. Averaging 14.8 points, 4.4 rebounds, 2.6 steals and 2.2 assists in 30.1 minutes per game so far this season for Canton, Cleveland's G League affiliate, Macura pairs a solid defense with a knockdown shot from deep. He should see some action behind Dante Exum as a reserve shooting guard for the duration of his contract.

J.P. Macura: Chips in 15 in G League win
Macura scored 15 points (6-10 FG, 3-7 3Pt, 0-0 FT) and added six rebounds, two assists and four steals in Saturday's G League win over Westchester.
It was Macura's best outing since dropping 26 eight games ago. He had been pretty consistent recently, however, scoring between eight and 14 points in each appearance during that span.

J.P. Macura: Posts double-double for Canton
Macura put up 26 points (11-15 FG, 4-7 3Pt) to go with 10 rebounds, two assists and one steal in 36 minutes Saturday in Canton's 106-103 win over Raptors 905.
The double-double was the second one of the season for Macura, who has proven to be more than just a perimeter sniper during his time with the Charge. Through 25 outings with Canton, Macura has supplemented his 15.8 points and 2.3 three-pointers per game with averages of 4.5 rebounds, 2.7 steals and 2.0 assists in 30.4 minutes.

Macura scored 25 points (11-19 FG, 3-10 3Pt, 0-1 FT) and totaled six rebounds and one assist during Saturday's G League win over the Mad Ants.
The 25 points marked a season high for Macura, who played all 48 minutes in the victory. Coming into the evening, the Xavier product was averaging 14.5 points and four rebounds in 20 G League games this year.

Macura has agreed to a partially-guaranteed contract with the Cavaliers, Emiliano Carchia of Sportnado reports.
Macura played 17 total minutes for the Hornets last season, totaling six points, three rebounds and two assists. He spent most of his time in the G League, where he averaged 16.4 points, 3.7 rebounds, 2.7 assists and 1.4 steals. While the Hornets were willing to let him go, the Cavaliers will take a chance on the 24-year-old shooting guard.

Hornets' J.P. Macura: Returns from extended absence
Macura (ankle) came off the bench for the G League's Greensboro Swarm in their 139-125 win over the Capital City Go-Go on Tuesday, producing 12 points (3-4 FG, 2-3 3Pt, 4-4 FT), three rebounds and one assist in 14 minutes.
Macura played a more limited role than usual for the affiliate in what marked his first appearance since Jan. 26 while he worked back from an ankle injury. He should see his minutes expand in the Swarm's games to come but is unlikely to earn a rotation role at the NBA level at any point in 2018-19.

Hornets' J.P. Macura: Drops game-high 30 points
Macura totaled 30 points (13-21 FG, 3-7 3Pt, 1-4 FT), six rebounds, three assists and six steals in 41 minutes Saturday against Delaware.
Macura shot an impressive 61.9 percent from the field and contributed across the board in a 111-105 comeback victory. The former Musketeer continues to impress in the G League this season, as he's averaging 15.1 points along with 3.7 rebounds, 2.6 assists and 1.6 steals through 22 contests (21 starts).

Hornets' J.P. Macura: Dispatched to G League
Macura was assigned to the G League's Greensboro Swarm on Monday.
Macura, one of the Hornets' two two-way players, received his first taste of NBA action over the past week and a half while Jeremy Lamb tended to a hamstring injury. The rookie out of Xavier made only one appearance during his stint with the parent club, producing four points, two rebounds and two assists in a 14-minute outing Jan. 2 against Dallas. With Lamb now healthy, Macura wasn't needed for further insurance on the wing.

Macura tallied four points (2-8 FG, 0-4 3Pt), two rebounds and two assists across 14 minutes off the bench Wednesday in the Hornets' 122-84 loss to the Mavericks.
Called up from the G League's Greensboro Swarm earlier in the day, Macura saw his first NBA action with the Mavericks turning the contest into a runaway victory right from the opening tip. Macura didn't shoot particularly well in garbage time and should be excluded from the rotation in more competitive contests.

Macura went unselected out of Xavier during the 2018 Draft, and he's spent the whole season in the G League thus far. However, with the Hornets dealing with some injuries, he'll be in uniform if needed for the Hornets' contest.

Macura (lower leg) scored 31 points to go along with four rebounds, one assist and one steal in Tuesday's 129-118 loss to Long Island.
Macura finally saw a full complement of minutes after working through a lower leg injury the previous three contests. When healthy, the forward is one of the most explosive scorers in the league, with Tuesday's showing an obvious example of his talents. The two-way player hasn't seen much time with the Hornets this season, but that could change if the team loses any of its depth at the wing.
