  • Brady Heslip: Lands deal in Germany

Heslip has agreed to a contract with the Frankfurt Skyliners of the German BBL, per the team's official Twitter page.

Heslip, undrafted out of Baylor in 2014, has spent the majority of his professional career overseas. He attended this year's summer league with the Grizzlies, appearing in eight games and posting 3.6 points per game. Last year, he was a member of Trabzonspor of the Turkish BSL and averaged 15.5 points on 41.0 percent shooting.

  • Brady Heslip: Waived by Raptors

Heslip was waived by the Raports on Saturday.

Heslip was buried on the Raptors' depth chart throughout training camp, so this move does not come without warning. The 26-year-old has yet to make a regular season roster since finishing his amateur career at Baylor in 2014.

  • Raptors' Brady Heslip: Co-leads reserves in scoring Wednesday

Heslip totaled 13 points (5-6 FG, 1-1 3Pt, 2-2 FT), two assists and a rebound across nine minutes in Wednesday's 104-98 preseason loss to the Clippers.

The 26-year-old wasted no time making an impression in his preseason debut, taking nearly a shot per minute and hitting them at a proficient clip. Heslip is battling Fred VanVleet for the third-string point guard role to open the season, and may have closed the gap with this performance, as VanVleet was held to three points and three assists over 21 minutes. If he fails to make the Raptors' roster, Heslip will likely open the season with the team's D-League affiliate, Raptors 905.

  • Raptors' Brady Heslip: Gets contract from Toronto

Heslip will sign a training camp contract with the Raptors on Friday, Shams Charania of Yahoo! Sports reports.

After acquiring his D-League rights earlier in the day, it looks like Heslip will remain in the Raptors organization even if he fails to make the NBA roster. He spent the 2015-16 campaign with Pallacanestro Cantu of the Italian Serie A Basketball League, averaging 12.7 points (on 45.8% shooting) in 26.9 minutes per game.
