Qualls compiled 29 points (10-19 FG, 3-8 3Pt, 6-6 FT), nine rebounds, one assist and one steal in the 124-116 loss Monday to Grand Rapids.
Qualls has been on quite a tear as of late, setting a career high last Wednesday with 37 points, only to follow that with his second most points scored Monday during the 2018-19 campaign. Those explosive outings generally haven't led to a ton of production in other categories, as Qualls has just nine double-doubles this year, but given the Herd has lacked a true scorer for much of the year, it's nice to see the small forward develop into a threat.

Michael Qualls: Scores 24 despite inefficient shooting
Qualls registered 24 points (9-23 FG, 2-8 3Pt, 4-7 FT), seven rebounds, two assists, two steals and a blocked shot in loss Wednesday to Raptors 905.
It wasn't a particularly efficient night for the small forward, but Qualls did wind up tallying a team-high 24 points, and nearly posted a game high if not for Raptors 905's Jordan Howard and his 26 points. Much of the Herd's depth has been sapped by the team's NBA affiliate, leaving the likes of Qualls and Nick Johnson as the only things resembling a threat most nights. As a result, expect similarly productive (albeit inefficient) games for the small forward in the future.

Michael Qualls: Drops 23 points in win
Qualls accumulated 23 points (4-13 FG, 2-5 3Pt, 13-17 FT), nine rebounds, five assists, three steals and a block across 43 minutes Saturday against Capital City.
Qualls logged a team-high 43 minutes and although he struggled to find his shot (30.7 percent from the field), the Herd would come away with a 109-105 victory. He's now drawn back-to-back starts, so it appears he's carved out a role for himself within the first unit for the time being.

Michael Qualls: Secures double-double
Qualls scored 16 points (4-9 FG, 1-5 3Pt, 7-8 FT), added 12 rebounds and registered five assists in the loss Wednesday to the BayHawks.
Qualls got the start at small forward and promptly registered his first double-double of the season. It'll be interesting to see whether the Herd continue to deploy Qualls as a small-ball small forward, or if this was simply a one-time choice based on Erie's unique lineup.

Michael Qualls: Waived by Stars
Qualls was waived by the Salt Lake City Stars on Tuesday, Sportando.com reports.
Qualls appeared in 18 games for the Stars this season. The Arkansas prospect, who left college in 2015, averaged 8.4 points and 4.7 rebounds across 19.4 minutes with Salt Lake City.
