Allen produced 21 points (7-8 FG, 1-1 3Pt, 6-8 FT), eight rebounds, two steals and a block across 27 minutes in Saturday's 125-121 win over the Nets.
Allen improved upon his 14-point season opener with an efficient scoring performance, making seven of eight field-goal attempts en route to finishing as the Cavaliers' second-highest scorer. He also finished second on the team in rebounds and added three stocks, making his presence felt on both ends of the court. Allen's rebounding and blocks should provide a reliable fantasy foundation, although his scoring output will likely fluctuate depending on Cleveland's offensive distribution. He's scored at least 14 points in his first two outings this season, so he's enjoying a strong start to the campaign.

Allen scored all 14 of his points before halftime but failed to maintain that offensive involvement as Cleveland squandered a 29-point lead. His seven rebounds were relatively modest, although his two blocks helped preserve some fantasy value. With James Harden and Donovan Mitchell in the backcourt, Allen should continue benefiting from opportunities around the rim, but his fantasy ceiling remains heavily dependent on rebounding, blocks and efficient finishing.

Despite carrying a questionable tag leading up to Cleveland's regular-season opener in Philadelphia, Allen was always expected to suit up. The Cavaliers' starting center could be on a soft minutes restriction given his history with the lingering knee issue. Evan Mobley, Thomas Bryant, Peyton Watson and Jaylon Tyson would likely benefit from any vacated minutes.

Allen is listed as questionable on the latest injury report. He was able to get some shots up Thursday morning, however, and it sounds like he intends to push through the minor injury. The Cavaliers may keep a close eye on his minutes if he's cleared to suit up.

Allen made the most of his limited touches before the Cavaliers turned to their reserves. The center collected all four rebounds on the defensive glass and finished with a neutral plus-minus rating, which was the best mark among Cleveland's starters. His limited offensive involvement wasn't surprising given the Cavaliers' abbreviated rotation, and Allen should continue serving as a reliable source of rebounds, efficient interior scoring and defensive production during the regular season. His role ahead of the start of the campaign isn't at risk, with the Cavaliers simply limiting the playing time of their projected starers in the preseason games.

Cavaliers' Jarrett Allen: Strong defensive showing in loss
Allen closed with six points (3-5 FG), three rebounds, one assist, two blocks and two steals across 26 minutes during Monday's 130-93 loss to the Knicks in Game 4 of the Eastern Conference Finals.
Allen salvaged what was an otherwise underwhelming night, tallying four defensive stats to go along with just six points. While it certainly wasn't the way he would've wanted the season to end, Allen was able to turn in a number of strong performances down the stretch. In 15 postseason appearances over the past month, he averaged 13.1 points, 7.7 rebounds and 1.7 blocks in 29.9 minutes per contest.
