Magette is a G League veteran, with the 2019-20 season being his fifth campaign in the league. In 35.0 minutes per game with the Lakeland Magic, he averaged 21.1 points on 15.4 shots, 9.8 assists, 4.1 rebounds and 2.2 steals.

Josh Magette: Massive double-double in win
Magette totaled 25 points (8-15 FG, 3-6 3Pt, 4-6 FT), 15 assists, eight rebounds and two steals in 37 minutes during Wednesday's win over the Bayhawks.
The Alabama-Huntington product continued his excellent season with another remarkable offensive effort. Though he was unable to find success at the NBA level, Magette's been amongst the top player in the G League this season. Across 35.0 minutes per contest, he's posting 21.1 points, 10.6 assists, 4.1 rebounds and 2.0 steals while shooting 43.2 percent from the field, 42.8 percent from three and 84.1 percent from the line.

Magette continues to chug away at the helm of Lakeland's offense. In addition to his league-leading 9.7 assists per game, Magette's posting 20.4 points, 4.3 rebounds and 2.1 steals in 34.4 minutes per contest.

Josh Magette: Drops 24 points in G League return
Magette recorded 24 points (9-17 FG, 4-7 3Pt, 2-3 FT), six assists, two rebounds, two steals and a block in 37 minutes during Wednesday's game against Canton.
Magette played well in his return to Lakeland. Despite his excellent G League play, Magette struggled in his time with the Magic, managing just a 33.3 percent hit rate from the field in 4.8 minutes across eight games. In contrast, through 17 minor league contests, Magette's posting averages of 19.6 points, 9.7 assists, 4.5 rebounds and 2.2 steals in 34.2 minutes.

Josh Magette: Off Orlando roster
The Magic waived Magette on Tuesday.
After having his two-way contract converted into a 10-day deal earlier in the month, Magette lost his spot on the 15-man roster when the Magic brought in ex-Rockets forward Gary Clark on a 10-day pact. Magette went unclaimed off waivers, so he'll remain in the organization as a member of Orlando's G League affiliate, the Lakeland Magic.

Magic's Josh Magette: Inks 10-day contract
Magette had his two-way contract with the Magic converted to a 10-day contract Saturday, Chris Haynes of Yahoo Sports reports.
Magette signed the two-way deal in July but the contract was nearing it's max of 45 days, and the Magic want the veteran point guard to remain on the roster. The 30-year-old saw a season-high 17 minutes during Friday's loss to the Suns with D.J. Augustin (knee) sidelined.

Magette posted 31 points (10-18 FG, 7-11 3Pt, 3-3 FT), nine assists, five rebounds, four steals and a block in 39 minutes during Thursday's win over Canton.
Magette returned to form after a series of rough shooting performances, ultimately finishing with a season-best 31 points in Thursday's win. The veteran guard's spent some time in Orlando this season as he's provided an excellent G league line of 19.0 points, 9.4 assists, 4.7 rebounds and 2.4 steals in 33.8 minutes this season.

Magette recorded eight points (2-15 FG, 1-7 3Pt, 2-3 FT), 12 assists, three rebounds, three steals and a block in 41 minutes during Saturday's loss to WIndy City.
Despite an off night shooting the ball, Magette managed to provide an impactful line as he distributed the ball well and competed on the defensive end. The veteran point guard's put together an impressive season and is scoring a career-best 17.5 points to go along with 9.8 assists, 4.6 rebounds and 2.3 steals in 32.9 minutes per game so far.

The only thing weighing down Magette's excellent performance was the fact that he turned the ball over a team-leading seven times. Aside from the minor turnover issues, Maggete's having a career season as the leader of Lakeland's backcourt. He's averaging a career-high 20.9 points, 9.9 assists, 5.4 rebounds and 2.1 steals while shooting 45.1 percent from the field, 50.8 percent from behind the arc and 81.0 percent from the line in 34.0 minutes per contest.

Magette totaled 14 points (5-11 FG, 2-4 3Pt, 1-1 FT), eight assists, four steals, three rebounds and a block in 30 minutes Sunday against Erie.
Magette neared a double-double while finishing with as many steals as turnovers in the 113-88 victory over the Bayhawks. The veteran point guard has given Orlando's G-League affiliate a steady veteran presence thus far in 2019-20 and is providing an impressive 18.4 points, 10.0 assists, 5.0 rebounds and 2.2 steals in 32.6 minutes per game. Magette, who last saw NBA action in 2017 with the Hawks, during which he averaged 2.6 points, 3.2 assists and 1.1 rebounds in 12.0 minutes per contest, has reached an agreement with Orlando. While it's unclear what role he's expected to have, he'll likely provide some support at backup point guard and could alternate between Orlando and its G-League affiliate. Magette had a strong showing in Summer League for the Spurs, averaging 6.8 points, 4.8 assists and 2.5 rebounds in 23.8 minutes per game.

Josh Magette: Signs with Croatian club
Magette's agent confirmed Friday that his client signed with KK Cedevita of the Croatian Basketball League, EuroHoops.net reports.
Magette debuted with the Hawks last season while playing on a two-way contract, logging 18 appearances at the NBA level and averaging 2.6 points, 3.2 assists and 1.1 rebounds in 12.0 minutes per game during those contests. The 27-year-old will head overseas with the promise of a guaranteed contract and could return to the NBA in 2019-20 if he impresses in Croatia.

Warriors' Josh Magette: Collects team-high six assists in loss
Magette recorded seven points (2-10 FG, 1-7 3Pt, 2-4 FT), six assists, six rebounds and two steals across 28 minutes in Friday's 69-67 LVSL consolation round loss to the Kings.
Magette has spent much of the last two years bouncing between Atlanta's G-League team and the big show, and while he's effectively demonstrated his ability in the form of high assist totals with the Bayhawks, it hasn't translated to a full-time gig in the pros. He now finds himself with the Warriors this summer and hasn't really done enough to move the needle on his big league prospects in the short term.
