Top Dyson Daniels News

  • Hawks' Dyson Daniels: Double-double in loss

Daniels logged 20 points (9-13 FG, 0-1 3Pt, 2-2 FT), 12 assists, five rebounds, two steals and two blocks over 34 minutes during the Hawks' 134-117 loss to the Raptors on Saturday.

Daniels recorded his fifth double-double of the season Saturday, and his 12 dimes were tied for his second most of the year. He also reached the 20-point threshold for the first time since Dec. 14, finishing as the Hawks' third-leading scorer behind Nickeil Alexander-Walker (31 points) and Jalen Johnson (30 points). Daniels has recorded at least seven assists in five straight games and will continue to serve as one of the Hawks' top distributors, especially in games for which Trae Young (quadriceps) doesn't play, as was the case Saturday.

  • Hawks' Dyson Daniels: Fills box score in loss

Daniels ended Monday's 140-129 loss to the Thunder with 13 points (6-13 FG, 0-1 3Pt, 1-1 FT), six rebounds, seven assists, two blocks and one steal across 35 minutes.

Daniels continues to stuff the stat sheet on a regular basis for fantasy managers. Over his last eight appearances, the swingman has averaged 14.0 points, 7.3 rebounds, 5.8 assists, 1.3 steals and 0.6 blocks in 34.8 minutes per game while shooting 52.7 percent from the floor.

  • Hawks' Dyson Daniels: Cleared to play vs. Miami

Daniels (hip) is not on the injury report for Friday's matchup against the Heat, Kevin Chouinard of the Hawks' official site reports.

Daniels will make his return following a one-game absence. In December, he's averaging 14.4 points, 6.1 rebounds, 5.0 assists and 1.4 steals in 34.7 minutes.

  • Hawks' Dyson Daniels: Listed out for Tuesday

Daniels won't play Tuesday against the Bulls with right hip inflammation.

This is a new injury for Daniels, and the severity is unclear. In his most recent outing Sunday against the Bulls, Daniels had eight points (3-9 FG, 0-1 3Pt, 2-4 FT), nine rebounds, nine assists and two steals across 39 minutes. Nickeil Alexander-Walker and Vit Krejci could see increased minutes Tuesday with Daniels out.

  • Hawks' Dyson Daniels: Teases triple-double Sunday

Daniels ended Sunday's 152-150 loss to the Bulls with eight points (3-9 FG, 0-1 3Pt, 2-4 FT), nine rebounds, nine assists and two steals across 39 minutes.

The fourth-year guard came one bucket, one board and one dime short of his first career triple-double. Daniels has been making a consistent impact in December, averaging 14.4 points, 6.1 rebounds, 5.0 assists and 1.4 steals through nine games this month.

  • Hawks' Dyson Daniels: Double-doubles in win

Daniels supplied 27 points (13-19 FG, 1-2 3Pt, 0-2 FT), 10 rebounds, four assists, two blocks and one steal across 39 minutes during Sunday's 120-117 win over Philadelphia.

Daniels set a new season high in scoring in this one, as he notched his second straight double-double and helped Atlanta earn their seventh straight victory over Philadelphia. Daniels will look to keep the good times rolling Thursday with a favorable matchup against the Hornets, but his offensive usage could take a hit, as Trae Young (knee) is nearing a return to game action.

  • Hawks' Dyson Daniels: Sniffs triple-double in win

Daniels provided 17 points (8-14 FG, 0-3 3Pt, 1-3 FT), nine rebounds, eight assists and two steals over 44 minutes during Sunday's 142-134 double-overtime victory over the 76ers.

Daniels logged a season-high 44 minutes, which was expected in this double-overtime win, and finished just one board and two assists away from recording his first triple-double of the season. Daniels has done a good job as a playmaker this season, averaging 7.0 dimes per game since the start of November, and that, coupled with his scoring prowess and elite defensive numbers, makes him a valuable fantasy option across all formats. His upside will likely regress once Trae Young (knee) returns, but in the meantime, Daniels has been excellent as one of the Hawks' primary playmaking options alongside Jalen Johnson.

  • Hawks' Dyson Daniels: Nears double-double in win

Daniels chipped in 22 points (10-17 FG, 1-4 3Pt, 1-1 FT), nine rebounds, six assists and two steals over 36 minutes during Sunday's 113-110 victory over the Hornets.

Daniels finished as Atlanta's third-leading scorer and was one of four Hawks players to reach the 20-point threshold. While he struggled from beyond the arc once again, the fourth-year guard knocked down a triple after shooting 0-for-11 from downtown in his previous eight appearances. He also led the team in rebounds and tied the game-high mark in steals, recording multiple swipes for the 14th time across 18 regular-season appearances.

  • Hawks' Dyson Daniels: Comes close to double-double

Daniels registered 14 points (6-15 FG, 0-4 3Pt, 2-2 FT), eight rebounds, four assists, one block and one steal across 31 minutes during Saturday's 115-98 win over New Orleans.

Daniels recorded his best scoring output since Nov. 4, when he had 18 points in a win over the Magic. Scoring prowess aside, Daniels was also his usual self when it came to filling out the stat sheet. This was his fourth consecutive game with at least 10 rebounds and assists combined, and he also extended his streak of games with at least one steal this season to 17.

  • Hawks' Dyson Daniels: Balanced stat line Thursday

Daniels contributed eight points (4-8 FG, 0-2 3Pt, 0-1 FT), six rebounds, five assists and three steals across 31 minutes during Thursday's 135-126 loss to the Spurs.

Daniels didn't have his best scoring output in this nine-point loss, as Nickeil Alexander-Walker and Jalen Johnson did that, but Daniels delivered solid numbers in other categories. As a defensive specialist, Daniels has enough talent to be a valuable fantasy option due to his ability to fill the stat sheet across all categories, even in games when his scoring output is limited.

  • Hawks' Dyson Daniels: Sniffs triple-double in win

Daniels supplied 11 points (5-6 FG, 0-1 3Pt, 1-1 FT), seven rebounds, 12 assists and three steals in 37 minutes during Sunday's 124-122 victory over the Suns.

Daniels' 12 assists were his second-best output of the season, and he allowed players like Jalen Johnson, Nickeil Alexander-Walker and Onyeka Okongwu to carry the scoring lead. Daniels made his presence felt on both ends of the court, as he also notched three steals and finished just three rebounds away from recording what would've been his first triple-double of the season.

  • Hawks' Dyson Daniels: Doesn't do much over 27 minutes

Daniels finished Thursday's 132-122 win over Utah with two points (1-2 FG), two rebounds, three assists and one steal in 27 minutes.

Daniels spent a lot of energy chasing around Lauri Markkanen on defense, and he was scoreless through the first half of action without a single shot attempt. He didn't even get his first shot up until the six-minute mark of the third quarter, and he managed to record only one steal. Look for Daniels to bounce back with a more productive stat line Sunday against the Suns.

  • Hawks' Dyson Daniels: Sniffs triple-double in win

Daniels racked up 10 points (5-8 FG), eight rebounds, 13 assists and one steal in 36 minutes during Saturday's 122-102 win over the Lakers.

Daniels was one of the players who needed to step up for Atlanta due to the absences of Trae Young (knee), Jalen Johnson (quadriceps) and Kristaps Porzingis (illness). That's exactly what he did, as the 22-year-old guard was impressive on both ends of the court and finished just two rebounds away from posting a triple-double. Daniels has also turned things around on offense following a slow start to the season and now has scored in double digits in all but one of his last five outings.

  • Hawks' Dyson Daniels: Season-high eight assists

Daniels posted seven points (2-10 FG, 1-3 3Pt, 2-2 FT), eight rebounds, eight assists, one block and two steals in 35 minutes during Friday's 109-97 loss to Toronto.

Daniels contributed a season-high eight assists, continuing to ramp up his production in the wake of the knee injury to Trae Young. He had also scored 18 points in each of the three contests prior to Friday, an indication that he will indeed be more involved offensively. Through nine games, he is averaging 9.8 points, 6.0 rebounds, 4.2 assists and 2.4 steals in 32.7 minutes per contest.

  • Hawks' Dyson Daniels: Well-rounded outing in victory

Daniels finished with 18 points (8-9 FG, 1-1 3Pt, 1-2 FT), six rebounds, six assists and two steals across 35 minutes in Tuesday's 127-112 win over the Magic.

After failing to reach double figures in each of Atlanta's first five outings, Daniels delivered an extremely efficient performance, marking his third consecutive game with 18 points. The 22-year-old guard also led the Hawks in assists and has dished out six in three of his last four appearances. He will likely continue to see an increased role on offense with Trae Young (knee) sidelined. Additionally, Daniels has impressed on the defensive end thus far, recording multiple steals in all but one of his eight regular-season games.

  • Hawks' Dyson Daniels: Starting to heat up

Daniels logged 18 points (8-12 FG, 0-1 3Pt, 2-4 FT), four rebounds, three assists, one block and four steals in 36 minutes during Sunday's 117-109 loss to the Cavaliers.

Daniels racked up a season-high four swipes, putting him up to 33 career regular-season games with at least four steals. The swingman had scored in single digits in five consecutive games to open the season, but he's posted 18 points in back-to-back contests now. On the year, Daniels has averaged 9.0 points, 5.7 rebounds, 3.4 assists and 2.6 steals in 32.0 minutes per game.
