  • Heat's Nikola Jovic: Probable for Tuesday

Jovic is probable for Tuesday's game against the Timberwolves with a left groin contusion. Jovic was able to play through this same issue Sunday against the Pelicans, finishing with 19 points, six rebounds, three assists, two blocks and three steals in 26 minutes. Miami could get Tyler Herro (toe) back in the mix Tuesday, though Jovic could remain heavily involved with Jaime Jaquez (ankle) already ruled out.

  • Heat's Nikola Jovic: Available to play

Jovic (groin) is available for Sunday's game against the Pelicans. Jovic will power through the groin issue, and with both Tyler Herro (toe) and Jaime Jaquez (ankle) missing in action, Jovic should see quality minutes in the rotation. Over the past five games, Jovic has averaged 14.0 points, 5.2 rebounds, 5.0 assists, and 2.2 triples per contest.

  • Heat's Nikola Jovic: Nursing groin injury

Jovic (groin) is listed as questionable for Sunday's game against the Pelicans. Jovic was able to shake off a right elbow injury to play Saturday against the Timberwolves, when he logged 14 points (4-8 FG, 1-4 3Pt, 5-5 FT), four assists, three rebounds and one steal over 28 minutes. Jaime Jaquez (ankle), is listed as doubtful, so if he and Jovic cannot play Sunday, then Simone Fontecchio would be in line for a sizable increase in minutes off the bench.

  • Heat's Nikola Jovic: Cleared to play Saturday

Jobic (elbow) is available for Saturday's game against the Timberwolves, Zachary Weinberger of ClutchPoints.com reports. Jobic popped up on Friday's injury report due to a right elbow issue, but it won't prevent him from playing in Saturday's interconference clash. He has averaged 14.0 points, 5.8 rebounds, 5.3 assists and 2.5 threes over 24.0 minutes per game over his last four outings.

  • Heat's Nikola Jovic: Probable for Saturday

Jovic (elbow) is probable for Saturday's game against Minnesota. Jovic is expected to play through his right elbow issue Saturday for the front end of this back-to-back set. Jovic is averaging 14.0 points, 5.8 rebounds and 5.3 assists over his last four outings.

  • Heat's Nikola Jovic: Pops for 22 points

Jovic finished Monday's 147-123 victory over the Nuggets with 22 points (7-12 FG, 5-8 3Pt, 3-3 FT), four rebounds and five assists across 26 minutes. With Tyler Herro (toe) still on the mend, Jovic was able to take advantage of his opportunity Monday. He's certainly trending up for Miami, posting averages of 17.0 points, 6.0 rebounds, 5.3 assists, 1.0 steals and 3.0 three-pointers in 23.9 minutes per contest.

  • Heat's Nikola Jovic: Adds 10 points in return

Jovic (elbow) closed with 10 points (3-14 FG, 1-6 3Pt, 3-3 FT), seven rebounds, four assists and one steal over 21 minutes during Friday's 126-111 win over Atlanta. Jovic was back in the lineup after missing five games with an elbow injury. He slotted straight into a meaningful role, scoring double digits for just the second time in his past 10 games. There are simply too many mouths to feed in Miami when the roster is healthy, making Jovic a target in deeper leagues at this point.

  • Heat's Nikola Jovic: Available vs. Atlanta

Jovic (elbow) is available for Friday's game against the Hawks. Jovic was deemed probable to play Friday, so this isn't much of a surprise. Look for the forward to be an option in the second unit. Jovic hasn't played since Dec. 6. He's averaging 7.5 points, 3.8 rebounds and 2.9 assists per game when deployed off the bench this season.

  • Heat's Nikola Jovic: On track to return Friday

Jovic (elbow) is listed as probable for Friday's game against the Hawks. Jovic has been sidelined for Miami's last six games while recovering from a right elbow contusion. He is trending toward suiting up Friday, but he may not be part of the regular rotation right away.

  • Heat's Nikola Jovic: Likely to miss at least one week

Jovic (elbow) is considered week-to-week, Anthony Chiang of the Miami Herald reports Wednesday. Jovic is expected to miss at least one week with a right elbow contusion, which an MRI revealed Tuesday following the forward's exit from Monday's loss to the Raptors. In his absence, Kel'el Ware and Simone Fontecchio should pick up a few extra minutes off the bench.

  • Heat's Nikola Jovic: Does not practice

Jovic (arm) did not practice Wednesday, Ira Winderman of the South Florida Sun Sentinel reports. Jovic was diagnosed with an elbow contusion after leaving Monday's game early. The Heat are calling him day-to-day, and it will be interesting to see if he's able to draw a questionable tag ahead of Thursday's game against Brooklyn.

  • Heat's Nikola Jovic: Dishes out six assists Saturday

Jovic finished Saturday's 127-111 loss to Sacramento with 12 points (4-10 FG, 2-7 3Pt, 2-3 FT), six assists, two rebounds and one steal across 31 minutes. After recording a DNP-CD in Friday's loss to Orlando, Jovic logged a season-high-tying 31 minutes with Tyler Herro (toe), Davion Mitchell (groin) and Pelle Larsson (hip) sidelined Saturday. Jovic wasn't extremely efficient but was still one of five Heat players to score in double figures. The 22-year-old forward also dished out a team- and season-high-tying six assists. Jovic has seen double-digit minutes just once through four games in December, so he isn't guaranteed significant playing time when the team is at full strength.

  • Heat's Nikola Jovic: Struggles in limited time

Jovic recorded two points (1-3 FG, 0-1 FT), two rebounds and one assist across 10 minutes in Saturday's 138-135 loss to the Pistons. After missing four straight games due to a right hip impingement, Jovic was active Wednesday for the Heat's 106-103 win over the Bucks, but he was left out of the rotation in a coach's decision. Though he ended up displacing Simone Fontecchio on the second unit Saturday, Jovic struggled in his limited minutes, as he committed a team-high five turnovers during his time on the court. Even if head coach Erik Spoelstra elects to prioritize Jovic ahead of Fontecchio in future contests, Jovic could still be at risk of falling back out of the rotation in Monday's game against the Clippers if Jaime Jaquez (groin) is cleared to return to action after sitting out Saturday's contest.

  • Heat's Nikola Jovic: Off injury report

Jovic (hip) will play in Wednesday's game against Milwaukee. Jovic has missed four straight games with a pinched nerve in his right hip. He'll retake the hardwood Wednesday night, but he may not see as large of a role as he previously had. The Heat are now fully healthy, and the pairing of Kel'el Ware and Bam Adebayo has been a clear positive. Jovic is averaging 21.4 minutes per game this season.

  • Heat's Nikola Jovic: Questionable vs. Bucks

Jovic (hip) is questionable for Wednesday's game against Milwaukee, Anthony Chiang of the Miami Herald reports. Jovic has a chance to conclude a four-game absence with a hip injury. The Heat have four players listed questionable for Wednesday, so Pelle Larsson and Simone Fontecchio could be needed to soak up plenty of minutes, depending on who's available in the frontcourt.

  • Heat's Nikola Jovic: Missing third straight game

Jovic (hip) has been ruled out for Sunday's game against the 76ers, Anthony Chiang of the Miami Herald reports. Jovic will be sidelined for a third consecutive game due to a left hip injury, but he could be cleared to return for the second leg of the Heat's back-to-back set Monday against the Mavericks in Miami. The absences of Jovic and Andrew Wiggins (hip) means Jaime Jaquez and Simone Fontecchio will likely continue to see additional minutes off the bench.

  • Heat's Nikola Jovic: Ruled out vs. Golden State

Jovic (hip) won't play Wednesday against the Warriors. Jovic was bumped to doubtful earlier in the day, so this update comes as no surprise. Simone Fontecchio and Jaime Jaquez will presumably be asked to pick up the slack Wednesday in Jovic's absence.

  • Heat's Nikola Jovic: Quiet in win

Jovic totaled five points (2-7 FG, 1-4 3Pt), one rebound and two assists across 15 minutes during Monday's 115-113 victory over the Knicks. Ever since his 29-point game against Portland on Nov. 8, Jovic has not contributed much on the stat sheet, averaging 4.5 points, 4.3 rebounds, 3.3 assists, and 0.5 threes in his last four games, shooting a measly 25.9 percent from the field and 14.3 percent from three. Despite Bam Adebayo (toe) missing time, Jovic has been unable to capitalize, and as a result, he is seeing his role decrease.

  • Heat's Nikola Jovic: Shines off bench in win Saturday

Jovic ended with 29 points (10-16 FG, 3-7 3Pt, 6-8 FT), nine rebounds, seven assists, one block and two steals over 31 minutes during Saturday's 136-131 win over the Trail Blazers. Jovic has surpassed the 10-point mark just twice this season, and both instances have come off the bench -- the other was a 20-point effort against the Grizzlies on Oct. 24. This was one of Jovic's most complete performances of his young NBA career, as he ended just one rebound and three assists away from a triple-double. The Serbian forward should continue to have a big role in the rotation after this impressive outing.

  • Heat's Nikola Jovic: Upgraded to probable Thursday

Jovic (hip) has been upgraded to probable for Thursday's matchup with San Antonio. Jovic suffered a hip contusion Tuesday against Charlotte, but his probable tag suggests he will play through it. He will continue to play behind Kel'el Ware as the backup big man. Jovic is averaging 11.3 points, 5.0 rebounds, 2.8 assists, 0.5 steals, 0.3 blocks and 2.0 threes made on 48.3 percent from the field and 90 percent from the free-throw line through four games (one start) this season.
