Jazz's Keyonte George: Nets 15 points on eight shots in win
George produced 15 points (5-8 FG, 1-3 3Pt, 4-5 FT), four rebounds and three assists over 21 minutes in Sunday's 109-97 preseason win over the Nuggets.
George briefly exited the game after getting whacked in the face, but he returned a short while later and didn't seem any worse for the wear. George will look to take another step forward in Year 4 after breaking out with averages of 23.6 points, 6.1 assists, 2.5 triples and 1.1 steals per game last season.

Jazz's Keyonte George: Agrees to massive extension
George and the Jazz agreed to a five-year, $157.5 million contract extension Friday, ESPN's Shams Charania reports.
The writing was on the wall for this move a long time ago, as there was a lot of mutual interest to get this done quickly. George averaged 23.6 points, 6.1 assists, 3.7 rebounds and 1.1 steals in 33.1 minutes per contest during the 2025-26 regular season, and moving forward he'll get to play alongside No. 2 overall pick Darryn Peterson in a new-look backcourt.

Jazz's Keyonte George: New backcourt partner coming
The Jazz selected Darryn Peterson with the No. 2 overall pick in the 2026 NBA Draft, adding another high-level creator to their backcourt that already includes George (hamstring).
George remains an important piece of Utah's rebuilding effort, but Peterson's arrival could reduce his on-ball responsibilities after he served as one of the team's primary playmakers last season. The additional talent should improve the quality of George's opportunities, though his fantasy value may become more dependent on efficiency than volume. The Jazz are also projected to be much more competitive in 2026-27, bolstering their late-season outlook.
