Spurs' Victor Wembanyama: Still without official return date
Wembanyama (calf) lacks a clear timetable for a return to game action, and he may continue to remain out for the week of the NBA Cup, Jeff McDonald of the San Antonio Express-News reports.
The NBA Cup runs from Dec. 9 through Dec. 16, and unless news emerges within the next week that Wembanyama has ramped up his on-court work, fantasy managers should prepare for the star center to remain out through the middle of the month. McDonald speculates that Wembanyama has a good chance of playing in games by Christmas Day, but the Spurs have yet to provide any sort of official timetable on the 21-year-old's return since he was first diagnosed with a left calf strain in mid-November. Luke Kornet will continue to serve as the Spurs' primary option at center while Wembanyama is on the mend from the injury.

Spurs' Victor Wembanyama: Out multiple weeks with calf strain
Wembanyama (calf) is expected to miss multiple weeks, Shams Charania of ESPN reports.
Wembanyama has been diagnosed with a strained left calf, which appears likely to keep him on the shelf through November. Fantasy managers can expect the Spurs to re-evaluate the superstar big man at some point in early December. Luke Kornet looks primed to serve as San Antonio's top center in Wembanyama's stead, with Kelly Olynyk and Bismack Biyombo in line to battle for the backup role.

Spurs' Victor Wembanyama: Double-doubles, swats three shots
Wembanyama recorded 26 points (10-21 FG, 3-8 3Pt, 3-3 FT), 12 rebounds, four assists, a steal and three blocks over 38 minutes in Friday's 109-108 loss to the Warriors.
Wembanyama delivered a couple of highlight plays on both ends of the court, but his impressive two-way performance wasn't enough as the Spurs squandered the lead late in the fourth quarter. Wembanyama continues to perform at a high level and has already notched eight double-doubles and one triple-double across 12 appearances in 2025-26.

Spurs' Victor Wembanyama: Ruled out for Sunday
Wembanyama (calf) will not play in Sunday's game against the Kings, Chris Biderman of The Sacramento Bee reports.
Wembanyama will miss his first game of the 2025-26 regular season Sunday. He was previously considered questionable, so fantasy managers can assume that he's day-to-day moving forward. With San Antonio's franchise player on the shelf, Luke Kornet figures to see a big bump in fantasy appeal. Additionally, Kelly Olynyk could see more run, and Bismack Biyombo could provide emergency depth up front.

Spurs' Victor Wembanyama: Working through calf issue
Wembanyama is listed as questionable for Sunday's game against the Kings due to left calf tightness, Jared Weiss of The Athletic reports.
Wembanyama has played in each of the Spurs' first 12 games of the regular season, but he is nursing a calf injury that puts him in jeopardy of missing Sunday's contest. If he's ultimately ruled out, Luke Kornet would likely be inserted into the starting lineup. Kelly Olynyk and Bismack Biyombo are also candidates to absorb rotational minutes off the bench. Wembanyama has averaged 23.3 points, 11.7 rebounds, 4.4 assists, 2.7 blocks and 0.9 steals over 35.1 minutes through seven games in November.

Spurs' Victor Wembanyama: Posts 30-point triple-double
Wembanyama generated 31 points (11-22 FG, 3-7 3Pt, 6-6 FT), 15 rebounds, 10 assists and one block across 36 minutes of Wednesday's 125-120 loss to the Warriors.
Wembanyama notched his first triple-double of the campaign and the fourth of his career. He hadn't posted more than six assists in a contest in 2025-26 before Wednesday. The 21-year-old has scored at least 30 points in back-to-back games. On the year, Wembanyama is averaging 26.2 points, 13.0 rebounds, 4.0 assists, 3.6 blocks and 1.1 steals over 34.4 minutes per game.
