Warriors' Yaxel Lendeborg: Erupts for 31-point night
Lendeborg totaled 31 points (9-19 FG, 1-8 3Pt, 12-13 FT), 12 rebounds, six assists and one block in 31 minutes during Monday's 134-114 win over the Nuggets.
Lendeborg put together the best final line of his young NBA career, propelling Golden State to a comfortable victory. The rookie forward has shown promise as a scorer, especially over his last two games, racking up 57 total points over this short stretch. Coach Steve Kerr noted after the game that he was particularly impressed with Lendeborg's performance in the win. "Basically, in all the critical moments of the game, we put the ball in his hands. And for a rookie to be that advanced already, it's extremely rare," said Kerr, per Luca Evans of the San Francisco Chronicle.

Warriors' Yaxel Lendeborg: Impressive double-double in Friday's loss
Lendeborg accumulated 18 points (4-11 FG, 1-3 3Pt, 9-12 FT), 13 rebounds, six assists and three steals in 37 minutes during Friday's 111-108 loss to the Grizzlies.
After a more subdued NBA debut on Wednesday, Lendeborg flashed his full array of skills in his second game. The 11th overall pick in the 2026 Draft tied Brandin Podziemski for second on the team in scoring while pacing the Warriors in boards and tying for the lead in assists and steals, all while getting to the free-throw line with regularity. Lendeborg will have his ups and downs as a rookie, but Golden State seems committed to giving him plenty of court time to speed his development.

Warriors' Yaxel Lendeborg: Scores 12 points in NBA debut
Lendeborg contributed 12 points (5-11 FG, 1-4 3Pt, 1-3 FT), three rebounds, two assists and a steal across 29 minutes in Wednesday's 127-105 loss to the Lakers.
Lendeborg's 29 minutes were an encouraging sign for the role he's expected to have in the Warriors rotation in the early weeks of the campaign. However, his modest peripheral production and inefficient free-throw shooting limited his fantasy impact. With the Warriors missing several established contributors, mainly Jimmy Butler (knee) and Moses Moody (knee), as well as Brandin Podziemski (back) and Kristaps Porzingis (illness), Lendeborg should get consistent playing time in the coming weeks, but his production needs to increase to be a valuable option in most fantasy formats.

Warriors' Yaxel Lendeborg: Confirmed as starter
Head coach Steve Kerr confirmed Monday that Lendeborg will start Wednesday's regular-season opener against the Lakers, per Nick Friedell of The Athletic.
This was the expectation throughout the preseason, given the rookie forward started most of Golden State's exhibition contests. Lendeborg is expected to hold down the fort at small forward at least until Jimmy Butler finishes his ACL rehab at some point later this year.

Warriors' Yaxel Lendeborg: Logs 17 points in preseason finale
Lendeborg finished Friday's 128-118 win over the Trail Blazers with 17 points (6-9 FG, 2-3 3Pt, 3-5 FT), five assists, four rebounds, two steals and one block over 26 minutes.
Lendeborg finished the preseason logging 17 points in back-to-back games and was tied with Brandin Podziemski as the Warriors' second-leading scorer Friday behind Stephen Curry (20 points). Lendeborg was the Warriors' 11th-overall pick of the 2026 NBA Draft and will likely have a sizable role for at least the first couple of months of his rookie season while Jimmy Butler (knee) is sidelined.

Warriors' Yaxel Lendeborg: Solid showing despite ankle scare
Lendeborg recorded 17 points (5-11 FG, 1-4 3Pt, 6-9 FT), five rebounds, four assists and two steals across 26 minutes in Tuesday's preseason matchup against the Lakers.
Lendeborg briefly exited after tweaking his ankle but was able to return to the contest, an encouraging sign regarding the severity of the issue. The rookie forward delivered a well-rounded performance despite the injury scare, contributing across multiple categories while committing just one turnover.

Warriors' Yaxel Lendeborg: Penciled in as starter
Head coach Steve Kerr plans to start Lendeborg to begin the season, per Dalton Johnson of NBC Sports Bay Area.
Both Jimmy Butler (knee) and Moses Moody (knee) are expected to be on the shelf for an extended period to open 2026-27, and Lendeborg is primed to help pick up the slack to start the year. The rookie first-rounder will be looking to make a case to remain a full-time starter and carries plenty of upside in the later rounds of fantasy drafts.

Warriors' Yaxel Lendeborg: Double-doubles with six assists
Lendeborg produced 23 points (10-14 FG, 1-3 3Pt, 2-2 FT), 10 rebounds, six assists, two steals and one block over 24 minutes in Saturday's 111-106 preseason win over the Kings.
After a lackluster preseason debut, Lendeborg has caught fire over the past two, scoring efficiently while bringing a little bit of everything to the box score. He should start for the Warriors right away and makes for an intriguing late-round target on draft day.

Warriors' Yaxel Lendeborg: Starting vs. Sacramento
Lendeborg (rest) is in the Warriors' starting lineup against the Kings on Saturday, Danny Emerman of SFStandard.com reports.
Lendeborg was rested for Wednesday's preseason game against the Trail Blazers, but the rookie first-rounder will be in the Warriors' starting five for Saturday's contest. The Michigan product is attempting to carve out a consistent role for himself for the 2026-27 season, and he has a path to do so seeing as both Jimmy Butler (knee) and Moses Moody (knee) are expected to be sidelined for a sizable chunk of the upcoming campaign.

Warriors' Yaxel Lendeborg: Sitting out Wednesday
Lendeborg (rest) is out for Wednesday's preseason game against the Trail Blazers, Anthony Slater of ESPN.com reports.
The rookie is one of several Warriors not making the trip for maintenance reasons. He produced 17 points (7-11 FG, 2-3 3Pt, 1-2 FT), nine rebounds and two assists across 21 minutes in Tuesday's 124-98 preseason win over the Lakers and continues to impress the coaching staff.

Warriors' Yaxel Lendeborg: Continues strong preseason play
Lendeborg registered 17 points (7-11 FG, 2-3 3Pt, 1-2 FT), nine rebounds and two assists across 21 minutes in Tuesday's 124-98 preseason win over the Lakers.
Lendeborg appears to have an inside track to start with the first unit once the season gets underway. The 2026 first-round pick finds himself in one of the best situations among this season's pack of rookies, as Draymond Green's advancing age and several frontcourt injuries will all play in the Michigan product's favor.

Warriors' Yaxel Lendeborg: Grabs nine boards Sunday
Lendeborg totaled four points (1-6 FG, 1-3 3Pt, 1-2 FT), nine rebounds, three assists and one block in 19 minutes during Sunday's 104-101 preseason loss to the Clippers.
Lendeborg drew the start in his preseason debut and led Golden State on the glass despite struggling with his shot. Coach Steve Kerr said afterward that he wants the rookie to be more aggressive offensively, and Lendeborg's starting assignment suggests he's firmly in the mix for a significant role early in his first season.

Warriors' Yaxel Lendeborg: Starting in preseason opener
Lendeborg will start Golden State's preseason opener against the Clippers on Sunday, Luca Evans of the San Francisco Chronicle reports.
Lendeborg appears to be in a position to take on a substantial role right from the start of the 2026-27 season, and the Warriors are eager to see what he can do alongside the likes of Stephen Curry and Brandin Podziemski. He figures to see his share of work during the preseason to prepare him for his first NBA campaign.

Warriors' Yaxel Lendeborg: Eyes sizable role in 2026-27
Head coach Steve Kerr said Monday that Lendeborg is "clearly going to play a ton," regardless of whether he starts or comes off the bench, Anthony Slater of ESPN.com reports.
The No. 11 overall pick in this year's draft, Lendeborg is fresh off winning a national championship with Michigan, where he averaged 15.1 points, 6.8 rebounds, 3.2 assists, 1.2 blocks and 1.1 steals in 30.2 minutes per tilt across 40 games. He also earned Big Ten Player of the Year honors. The forward will be 24 years old when the season begins, and he'll seemingly step into a significant role right away for a Golden State team trying to win another title in the twilight of Stephen Curry's career.

Warriors' Yaxel Lendeborg: Might start this season
Lendeborg is in the running to start this season, Monte Poole of NBC Sports Bay Area reports.
"We've added some good players with Yaxel, Georges Niang, and believe Brandon Williams can help us," head coach Steve Kerr said during a recent interview. "The biggest things are figuring out who's going to start, and what's the rotation going to look like? Can Yaxel play the 3 with Draymond at the 4, with Kristaps or Al at the 5? What would that look like?" Lendeborg looked good during both the California Classic and Las Vegas Summer League, appearing in a total of eight games and averaging 14.9 points, 6.8 rebounds, 4.0 assists and 1.4 steals while shooting 45.9 percent from deep over 26.9 minutes per tilt. While Kerr's recent comments didn't confirm that the rookie No. 11 overall pick will start during the 2026-27 campaign, at least not on a full-time basis, he appears to be primed for a prominent role right out of the gate.
