  • Pacers' Tyrese Haliburton: Positive outing Wednesday

Haliburton finished with seven points (3-8 FG, 1-3 3Pt), six rebounds, two blocks and one steal in 16 minutes during Wednesday's 123-112 preseason win over the Timberwolves.

Haliburton returned to the court after last playing in Game 7 of the 2025 NBA Finals. He appeared fully healthy, showing no signs of hesitation on either end of the floor. Indiana as a whole looked much more cohesive with Haliburton at the helm, an encouraging sign for anyone considering Haliburton with their first or second-round pick. While there could be some minor limitations to begin the season, all signs point to him being fully active and ready to attack the season head-on.

  • Pacers' Tyrese Haliburton: Not expected to face many limitations

Head coach Rick Carlisle said Monday that he does not anticipate many limitations for Haliburton to start the season, though he noted the team will go at "the correct pace," Alex Golden of SI.com reports.

The star point guard sustained a torn Achilles in Game 7 of the 2025 NBA Finals, though he has been fully cleared to participate in training camp and should be available for the start of the regular season after missing the 2025-26 campaign. Carlisle added that Haliburton has gotten stronger, but it wouldn't be surprising to see the Pacers manage his workload to start the campaign, especially in back-to-back sets.

  • Pacers' Tyrese Haliburton: Will be cleared for camp

General manager Chad Buchanan said Thursday that Haliburton (Achilles) will be fully cleared for training camp, Alex Golden of SI.com reports.

With Haliburton working his way back from the torn Achilles he suffered in Game 7 of the 2025 NBA Finals, this is a notable checkpoint ahead of the 2026-27 season. A full clearance for camp suggests Indiana's star guard should enter the preseason without formal restrictions, though his workload to begin the regular season could still be monitored after such a lengthy absence.

  • Pacers' Tyrese Haliburton: Could be limited to begin 2026-27 season

The Pacers may opt to slowly bring Haliburton back up to speed as he aims to return from a torn Achilles suffered in Game 7 of the 2025 NBA Finals, Jamal Collier of ESPN reports.

Haliburton torched the nets in the opening quarter of Indiana's Game 7 loss to the Thunder in the Finals, though he tore his Achilles before the end of the frame. The star floor general resumed 5-on-5 work in early April and said in late June that he felt like he was operating like a "healthy NBA player," per Scott Agness of FieldhouseFiles.com. Although he's had plenty of time to recover since undergoing Achilles surgery, Haliburton may still need time to ramp up to a full workload after such a serious injury. The 26-year-old will look to return to form after averaging 18.6 points, 9.2 assists, 3.5 rebounds, 1.4 steals and 0.7 blocks while shooting 38.8 percent from three-point range in 33.6 minutes per tilt across 73 regular-season appearances in 2024-25.

  • Pacers' Tyrese Haliburton: Says he's feeling great

Haliburton said Saturday that he feels "great," Scott Agness of FieldhouseFiles.com reports.

"I feel great. Body feels great. I'm able to do everything," Haliburton said. "I feel like I'm operating like I'm a healthy NBA player -- for the first time in a long time, which is exciting." Haliburton missed the entire 2025-26 season after tearing his Achilles tendon seven minutes into Game 7 of the 2025 NBA Finals, but he's been participating in 5-on-5 work since April and no longer appears to have any restrictions. Still, it wouldn't be surprising if the Pacers managed his workload early in training camp and the preseason.
