  • Heat's Myron Gardner: Signs with Miami

    Gardner signed a two-way contract with the Heat on Friday, according to NBA reporter Chris Haynes. Gardner's deal is for two seasons. After spending two years with Orlando's G League affiliate, Gardner was a standout for Miami in the Summer League with averages of 13.3 points, 4.3 rebounds, 1.8 assists and 2.8 steals. He figures to spend the bulk of his time with the Sioux Falls Skyforce in the G League.

  • Heat's Myron Gardner: Scores 16 in SL starting role

    Gardner totaled 16 points (4-14 FG, 2-4 3Pt, 6-6 FT), six rebounds, four steals, two assists and one block over 26 minutes in Friday's 93-92 Summer League win over the Bucks. Gardner followed up his efficient 19-point outing off the bench Thursday with a well-rounded stat line and 16 points as a starter Friday, though on less efficient shooting. A finger injury delayed the wing's Summer League debut, but it didn't impact his availability for the Heat's back-to-back to wrap up the summer.

Gardner is dealing with a finger injury, and his next chance to play comes Sunday against the Cavaliers. After spending all of his time in the G League in 2024-25, the 24-year-old is looking to find a home in the NBA ahead of the 2025-26 season. With Gardner sidelined Friday, Pelle Larsson and Keshad Johnson are candidates to see a bump in playing time.
