Top Day'Ron Sharpe News

  • Nets' Day'Ron Sharpe: Delivers 19 points, 12 boards

Sharpe totaled 19 points (5-10 FG, 0-1 3Pt, 5-5 FT), 12 rebounds, two assists, two steals and two blocks during Saturday's 114-110 win over the G League Raptors.

Sharpe was a menace on both sides of the ball, contributing in multiple stat categories. Unfortunately, that also includes five turnovers. Nonetheless, the big man has put up a double-double in both of his G League contests, and he should remain a solid piece of Long Island's starting five while he bides his time for a return to the NBA.

  • Nets' Day'Ron Sharpe: Available Tuesday

Sharpe (personal) rejoined the Nets on Monday and will be available for Tuesday's game against the Warriors, Alex Schiffer of The Athletic reports.

The rookie big man is back with the team after missing Sunday's 120-96 win over the Thunder while attending to the personal matter. Sharpe hasn't been featured in the Brooklyn rotation this season, and that's unlikely to change Tuesday even with Paul Millsap (personal) and Nicolas Claxton (illness) both sidelined.

  • Nets' Day'Ron Sharpe: Out Sunday

Millsap is out at Oklahoma City on Sunday due to personal reasons.

Sharpe is sitting out at least one game. Fantasy managers will not have benefited from the center anyways, considering he averaged 4.0 minutes across his last six Nets matchups.

  • Nets' Day'Ron Sharpe: Rejoins NBA team

The Nets recalled Shape from the G League's Long Island Nets ahead of Monday's game against the Bulls, Alex Schiffer of The Athletic reports.

Sharpe will give the Nets some additional depth in the frontcourt ahead of the second half of a back-to-back set. Brooklyn hasn't released an updated injury report ahead of Monday's contest, but one or two of Kevin Durant, Blake Griffin and LaMarcus Aldridge could be candidates to sit for rest purposes. Even if that's the case, Sharpe likely wouldn't handle much more than a minor rotational role Monday.

  • Nets' Day'Ron Sharpe: Off injury report

Sharpe (toe) is off the injury report for Friday's game against the 76ers.

Sharpe was unavailable for the opener due to a sprained right toe, but he's good to go for Friday. That said, it seems likely he'll be out of the rotation to start the year.

  • Nets' Day'Ron Sharpe: Unavailable Tuesday

Sharpe won't play in Tuesday's game against Milwaukee due to a right toe sprain, Billy Reinhardt of NetsDaily.com reports.

The rookie has a right toe sprain which will prevent him from being available during the season opener. Even once Sharpe returns to full strength though, it's unlikely that the 2021 first-round selection will see the floor, as he's currently buried on the team's depth chart behind LaMarcus Aldridge, Paul Millsap and Nicolas Claxton.
