Bills running back LeSean McCoy injured his hamstring at practice on Tuesday. After practice, Buffalo head coach Rex Ryan didn't offer any specific details regarding the severity of the injury, but did say that McCoy would undergo an MRI.

"The trainer said that the hamstring is intact," Ryan said. "It's not off the bone, so that's real positive."

The injury occurred near the end of practice. According to reporters in attendance, McCoy was checked out by trainers on the field before limping to the sideline. He was then able to walk to the locker room under his own power.

The Bills' backfield has been hit with a wave of injuries. Fred Jackson was also hit with a hamstring injury, rookie Karlos Williams was hospitalized on Monday due to an undisclosed injury, and Boobie Dixon and Bryce Brown are also dealing with their own knocks.

If McCoy's injury is serious enough that it forces him to miss a portion of the regular season, the Bills' plans for a heavy rushing attack might be spoiled.

LeSean McCoy will get an MRI to determine just how serious his hamstring injury is. (USATSI)
