Chargers wideout Keenan Allen was on a roll - as in past tense. His mediocre performance Sunday in a loss to Miami was his second straight.
Allen caught three passes for 45 yards and no touchowns on six targets. After catching 31 passes for 497 yards and three scores in the previous five games, he has just seven receptions for 86 yards and no touchdowns in his last two.
Oddly, Allen managed all his production against the Dolphins on the opening possession of the third quarter. And his taunting penalty after a catch that cost his team 15 yards might have also cost his team a touchdown and the game. He will try to improve his consistency and self-control next Sunday in Kansas City.
