Zak DeOssie: Calls it a career
DeOssie announced his retirement Friday.
DeOssie spent all 13 NFL seasons with the Giants, which drafted him in the fourth round of the 2007 NFL Draft. Most notably, he was a skilled long snapper who made the Pro Bowl twice, and the 35-year-old won two Super Bowls with the Giants.

Giants' Zak DeOssie: Ruled out for Week 13
DeOssie (knee) is ruled out for Sunday's game against the Packers, Jordan Raanan of ESPN.com reports.
DeOssie is in danger of hitting injured reserve in the near future, so it doesn't come as much of a surprise to see him ruled out in advance of Sunday's matchup against Green Bay.

Giants' Zak DeOssie: Expected to hit IR
The Giants are expected to place DeOssie (knee/wrist) on injured reserve, Mike Garafolo of NFL Network reports.
DeOssie has appeared in 199 games with the Giants since being selected by the team in the fourth round of the 2007 NFL Draft. The 34-year-old long snapper isn't under contract for 2020, so it wouldn't be much of a surprise if his placement on IR were to signify the end of his tenure in New York. Colin Holba will be a candidate to be promoted from the practice squad in DeOssie's absence.

Giants' Zak DeOssie: Returning to New York
DeOssie intends to sign an undisclosed contract with the Giants, Ryan Dunleavy of The Newark Star-Ledger reports.
DeOssie would have become an unrestricted free agent March 13, and will instead return for a 13th consecutive season with the G-Men. The 34-year-old long snapper is the second-longest tenured player on the Giants' roster after quarterback Eli Manning.

Giants' Zak DeOssie: Signs two-year extension with Giants
DeOssie signed a two-year extension with the Giants on Friday, James Kratch of NJ.com reports.
The long snapper, now 33, has spent his entire career with the Giants. DeOssie is one of just two remaining Giants (along with Eli Manning) who played on both of their recent Super Bowl championship teams. He also successfully played in all 16 games last season after an injury-plagued 2015 campaign.
