Falcons' Bud Dupree: Healthy after injury-plagued 2022
Dupree said Tuesday that he's 100 percent recovered from a torn pectoral muscle he suffered late in the 2022 campaign, D. Orlando Ledbetter of The Atlanta Journal-Constitution reports.
Dupree also dealt with a pair of hip flexor injuries earlier in the season and appeared in just 11 total games for a third straight campaign. In his last healthy season (2019), the 2015 first-round pick recorded career highs in sacks (11.5) and forced fumbles (four). If Dupree can come anywhere close to that production in 2023, his one-year, $5 million deal will be a steal for the Falcons.

Falcons' Bud Dupree: Signs with Falcons
Dupree and the Falcons agreed to a one-year deal worth up to $5 million Friday, Ian Rapoport of NFL Network reports.
Dupree will now head to Atlanta after a disappointing two seasons with the Titans, recording just 35 tackles in his tenure with Tennessee. After the linebacker produced 19.5 sacks in his last two years with the Steelers, Dupree only recorded seven over his 22 games as a Titan. The 30-year-old will look to get back on the right track with the Falcons in 2023, though his days as a premier edge rusher have likely passed.

Bud Dupree: Time up in Tennessee
Dupree was released by the Titans on Thursday, Jim Wyatt of the team's official site reports.
On the bright side, Dupree didn't have an injury designation tied to his release, so he appears to have recovered from the pectoral injury that forced him onto injured reserve down the stretch in 2022. Dupree had 19.5 sacks for the Steelers between 2019 and 2020, but he mustered just seven sacks across two subsequent seasons with the Titans and has been limited to 11 appearances in each of the past three campaigns.

Titans' Bud Dupree: Expected to be released
Dupree (pectoral) is expected to be released in the near future, Ian Rapoport of NFL Network reports.
Dupree is due to make $17 million this season, and the Titans will save cap space by letting him go. The pass rusher suffered a pectoral injury late in the season and may be sidelined into the offseason program. Dupree appeared in 11 games with Tennessee in 2022, compiling 18 tackles, including four sacks, while recording a forced fumble and two fumble recoveries.

Titans' Bud Dupree: Moves to injured reserve
The Titans placed Dupree (pectoral) on injured reserve Thursday, Jim Wyatt of the team's official site reports.
After departing last weekend's matchup versus Houston with a pectoral injury, Dupree now appears set to be sidelined until next season unless the Titans make a deep playoff run. Given the plethora of injuries to the Titans' linebacker corps, Tarell Basham, Monty Rice, Andrew Adams and Rashad Weaver figure to operate as the team's starters Thursday night against Dallas.
