Cardinals' Carlos Watkins: Reaches deal with Cardinals
Watkins signed with the Cardinals on Thursday, Aaron Wilson of KPRC 2 Houston reports.
Watkins, who has had the offseason to rebound from a calf injury he sustained in the divisional round of the playoffs, is a six-year veteran and has played for both the Texans and Cowboys. Last year in Dallas, he tallied 26 total tackles across 12 games and 270 defensive snaps. He figures to occupy a rotational role along the defensive line with his new team.

Cowboys' Carlos Watkins: Sustains calf injury
Watkins has been ruled out for the remainder of Sunday's divisional-round game against the 49ers due to a calf injury, Michael Gehlken of The Dallas Morning News reports.
Watkins went down in the first half of Sunday's matchup due to his calf injury, and he'll be unavailable to close out the game. Prior to his departure, he recorded a solo tackle. It's unclear whether the 2017 fourth-rounder would be available for next Sunday's NFC Championship Game against the Eagles if Dallas advances.

Carlos Watkins: Dropped at deadline day
Watkins was released by the Cowboys on Tuesday, Rob Phillips of the team's official site reports.
Watkins was let go as part of the team's final roster trimming Tuesday. The 28-year-old defensive tackle re-signed with Dallas in March after recording 32 tackles, one sack and one interception over 15 games (14 starts) in 2022. Watkins, who primarily played in a reserve role (42 games, 18 starts) over the first four years of his career with Houston, will now look to land a contract elsewhere heading into the regular season.

Cowboys' Carlos Watkins: Re-signs with Dallas
Watkins signed a one-year contract with Dallas on Wednesday, Michael Gehlken of The Dallas Morning News reports.
Watkins started 14 games for the Cowboys in 2021 and registered 32 tackles, one sack and one interception, which he returned for a touchdown. The 2017 fourth-round pick should once again be a key piece for Dallas' defense in 2022.
