  • Buccaneers' Breshad Perriman: Back with Bucs

Perriman (abdomen) agreed Wednesday with the Buccaneers on a one-year deal, Rick Stroud of the Tampa Bay Times reports.

By the time the Bucs return to the field, the wideout should be recovered from the abdomen issue that kept him out of the team's wild-card round loss to the Rams. Perriman finished the regular season with 11 catches for 167 yards and a touchdown in six games. Looking ahead, the 2015 first-round selection will look to re-establish his role in a Tampa Bay wide-receiving corps headed by Mike Evans, Russell Gage and Chris Godwin (knee), who is recovering from a torn ACL.

  • Buccaneers' Breshad Perriman: Won't play Sunday

Perriman (hip/abdomen) has been ruled out for Sunday's game against the Rams, Adam Schefter of ESPN reports.

Perriman missed practice throughout the week, with coach Bruce Arians revealing that the wideout has a torn muscle near his abdomen. The Bucs hope to get Cyril Grayson (hamstring) back in the lineup alongside Mike Evans and Tyler Johnson, but with Grayson listed as questionable after missing the past couple weeks, it's possible Scotty Miller is tabbed as the No. 3 receiver this Sunday. Either way, Perriman won't be part of the equation.

  • Buccaneers' Breshad Perriman: Remains sidelined Friday

Perriman (hip/abdomen) didn't practice Friday, Greg Auman of The Athletic reports.

Per Auman, coach Bruce Arians noted Friday that Perriman has "a torn muscle in his side" and with that in mind it doesn't seem likely the wideout will be available Sunday against the Rams. With Cyril Grayson (hamstring) also iffy for the Buccaneers' divisional-round contest, John Brown is a candidate to be elevated from the team's practice squad to provide added depth behind Mike Evans and Tyler Johnson.

  • Buccaneers' Breshad Perriman: DNP on Thursday

Perriman (hip) did not practice Thursday, Jenna Laine of ESPN.com reports.

The wide receiver remained unavailable for practice Thursday after also being absent Wednesday while nursing a hip issue. Perriman's reps were limited to open last week before he ramped up activity Friday, and he ultimately entered the Buccaneers' wild-card matchup versus the Eagles without an injury designation. His ability to participate at Friday's practice will provide a clearer indication of his chances to play in the team's divisional-round contest against the Rams on Sunday. If he can't go, Scotty Miller would be a likely candidate for increased snaps in the game.

  • Buccaneers' Breshad Perriman: No practice Wednesday

    Perriman (hip) didn't practice Wednesday.

Last week, Perriman had a cap on his reps in the first two sessions due to a hip issue before bumping up to full activity Friday and not carrying an injury designation into this past Sunday's wild-card win over the Eagles. With Cyril Grayson (hamstring) sidelined, Perriman ranked third among Buccaneers wide receivers in snap share (49 percent), trailing only Mike Evans (81) and Tyler Johnson (77). Now, Perriman has joined Grayson as a non-participant in practice to begin the week, leaving even more question marks in a position group that's down Chris Godwin (knee) for the postseason. Friday's injury report could clarify the status of the team's tertiary wideout options for Sunday's divisional-round matchup with the Rams.

  • Buccaneers' Breshad Perriman: One catch in postseason opener

Perriman secured one of three targets for five yards during the Buccaneers' 31-15 win over the Eagles in an NFC wild-card matchup Sunday.

The veteran played a minor role in the postseason-opening win, with every other pass catcher but blocking tight end O.J. Howard and seldom-used Scotty Miller recording more receptions. Perriman had seen a surge in production Week 18 against the Panthers in the form of a 5-44-0 line on six targets, but as Sunday demonstrated, his involvement is likely to be very volatile for the remainder of the Buccaneers' playoff run.
