Falcons' Stefan Charles: Signs with Falcons
Charles signed a contract with the Falcons on Saturday, Will McFadden of the team's official site reports.
Charles spent time with the Chiefs this offseason, but hasn't seen any regular-season action since playing for the Lions in 2016. If the 31-year-old can stick to the Falcons' roster, he would likely see a depth or rotational role in their defensive front.

Chiefs' Stefan Charles: Re-signs with Kansas City
Charles signed with the Chiefs on Thursday.
With Rakeem Nunez-Roches' release becoming official Thursday in a move to create cap space, the Chiefs have elected to bring back Charles after releasing him just two days earlier. Charles has been a depth option on the defensive line throughout most of his NFL career, but he hasn't seen a snap since 2016 with Detroit, so his chances of ultimately making the Chiefs' final roster appear slim.

Stefan Charles: Cut by Kansas City
Charles was released by the Chiefs on Tuesday.
Charles hasn't touched the field since 2016 when he played 12 games for the Lions and marked seven tackles (two solo). The 29-year-old spent 2017 preseason with Jacksonville, but he was let go before Week 1 and remained unemployed for the rest of the campaign. Charles has always played in a reserve role, and that's what he'll compete for wherever he lands.

Chiefs' Stefan Charles: Remains in Kansas City
Charles re-signed with the Chiefs on Tuesday, Aaron Wilson of The Houston Chronicle reports.
Charles was brought in for the Chiefs' postseason run, adding depth to the defensive line. Bennie Logan, the Chiefs' starting nose tackle last season, remains a free agent, which could leave more reps on the table for Charles. However, the Chiefs also signed Xavier Williams on Tuesday to also compete for starting time.

Chiefs' Stefan Charles: Signs with Kansas City
The Chiefs signed Charles to a contract Wednesday, Terez A. Paylor of The Kansas City Star reports.
Charles will provide the Chiefs with some depth along the defensive front with 3-4 ends Rakeem Nunez-Roches (ankle) and Jarvis Jenkins (knee) both nursing injuries heading into Saturday's wild-card matchup with the Titans. Even if the latter two players are inactive for the playoff game, Charles likely wouldn't be asked to play more than a handful of snaps as part of the Chiefs' line rotation.

Jaguars' Stefan Charles: Plays in preseason opener
Charles saw limited action in last week's preseason opener, Ryan O'Halloran of The Florida Times-Union reports.
Charles didn't do much in his preseason action, with his most notable play being a missed tackle. He'll look to improve in the coming weeks as he prepares for another year as a backup along the defensive line.
