Top Jack Tocho News

  • Jack Tocho: Let go by Pittsburgh

Tocho was cut by the Steelers on Thursday, Dale Lolley of DKPittsburghSports.com reports.

Tocho was signed by the Steelers on April 6 after the AAF folded -- the North Carolina State product had spent time with the Birmingham Iron, performing well enough to earn a short-term deal with an NFL squad. Since being drafted by the Vikings in 2017, Tocho has spent his young NFL career primarily on practice squads -- including Washington's and Pittsburgh's. The 23-year-old will now have another opportunity to find a new team.

  • Steelers' Jack Tocho: Lands in Pittsburgh

Tocho agreed to a deal with the Steelers on Friday, Teresa Varley of the team's official website reports.

Tocho was drafted by the Vikings in 2017 and spent most of the season on their practice squad. Most recently, he played for the Birmingham Iron in the now defunct AAF. He will look to make an impression during OTAs and training camp in order to earn a spot on the team's 53-man roster.

  • Jack Tocho: Joins Washington

Tocho (undisclosed) signed to the Redskins' practice squad Wednesday, per the NFL's official transaction log.

Tocho was on the Vikings' practice squad in September but was let go after ending up on the injured list. The 2017 seventh-round pick will look to make an impression in the final weeks of the regular season in Washington.

  • Jack Tocho: Contract terminated by Vikings

The Vikings terminated Tocho's contract Wednesday, Chris Tomasson of the St. Paul Pioneer Press reports.

Tocho -- a 2017 seventh-round pick -- was placed on Minnesota's practice squad injured list on Sept. 6. The 22-year-old safety is now free to seek another opportunity around the league.

  • Jack Tocho: Lands on Vikings' practice squad

Tocho was placed on Minnesota's practice squad injured list Wednesday, Chris Tomasson of The Twin Cities Pioneer Press reports.

Tocho was placed on the practice squad injured list to make room for cornerback Jalen Myrick. A seventh-round selection in the 2017 NFL Draft, Tocho will need to get healthy and show well on special teams to have any chance of eventually sticking to the roster.

  • Vikings' Jack Tocho: Moves to safety

Tocho, who Minnesota selected in the seventh round of the 2017 NFL Draft, will move to safety, the St. Paul Pioneer Press reports.

It's probably not a huge distinction as Tocho may play special teams more than defense if he's able to win a spot on the final roster. Tocho ran the 40-yard dash in 4.54 seconds at the Combine, so he may not have the speed to play cornerback regularly.
