  • Chiefs' JuJu Smith-Schuster: Three catches in Week 2 win

Smith-Schuster brought in all three targets for 10 yards in the Chiefs' 27-24 win over the Chargers on Thursday night.

After producing a solid 6-79 line on eight targets against the Cardinals in his Chiefs debut on Sunday, Smith-Schuster was much quieter four days later. The veteran wideout saw four players log more targets than his three, and he was utilized strictly in a short-area role as his numbers imply. Smith-Schuster's production could well fluctuate a good bit from game to game as Patrick Mahomes enjoys more freedom to spread the ball around with Tyreek Hill no longer part of the air attack, but he'll aim to boost his numbers back up against the Colts in a Week 3 road contest.

  • Chiefs' JuJu Smith-Schuster: Good to go for Week 2

Smith-Schuster (shoulder) was a full participant in Tuesday's practice.

Kansas City listed Smith-Schuster as a limited participant on Monday's estimated report, but he didn't face any restrictions when the team held a more traditional practice session Tuesday. The wideout looks to be in the clear to play Thursday against the Chargers, coming off a solid debut in last week's 44-21 win over the Cardinals in which he recorded six receptions for 79 yards on eight targets while playing 46 of Kansas City's 70 snaps on offense.

  • Chiefs' JuJu Smith-Schuster: Limited on practice estimate

Smith-Schuster (shoulder) was listed as limited on Monday's practice estimate, Matt McMullen of the Chiefs' official site reports.

In his debut with Kansas City in Sunday's 44-21 win over the Cardinals, Smith-Schuster logged 46 of a possible 70 snaps on offense en route to catching six of his eight targets for 79 yards. Following his listing on Monday's initial injury report, the wideout's status will be worth monitoring ahead of Thursday night's game against the Chargers, but so far there's nothing to suggest that Smith-Schuster is in danger of sitting out the contest.

  • Chiefs' JuJu Smith-Schuster: Productive in KC debut

Smith-Schuster caught six of eight targets for 79 yards in Sunday's 44-21 win over the Cardinals.

The former Steeler led all Kansas City wide receivers in receptions, yards and targets on the day, although Marquez Valdes-Scantling (4-44 on four targets) and Mecole Hardman (3-16-1 on six targets) also saw significant volume. With Tyreek Hill now in Miami, Patrick Mahomes figures to spread the ball around more than he did in years past, but Smith-Schuster made an early case to be his No. 2 option behind Travis Kelce.
