JuJu Smith-Schuster: Back to full health
Smith-Schuster (knee) had a tryout with the Jets on Tuesday, Aaron Wilson of KPRC 2 Houston reports.
Smith-Schuster was released by the Giants on Aug. 18 after dealing with a knee issue during training camp. The wide receiver now appears to be back to full health, but he seems unlikely to get a chance with the Jets. The team also worked out Tyler Johnson and Sterling Shepard, both of whom were signed to New York's practice squad Tuesday.

Smith-Schuster (knee) was released by the Giants on Tuesday, Dan Salomone of the team's official site reports.
Smith-Schuster, who has been dealing with a knee issue, had been a candidate to secure a depth role in New York's WR corps, but the team will move forward with the likes of Odell Beckham, Isaiah Hodgins, Braxton Berrios and Jalin Hyatt (ankle/leg), who are competing for a potential final spot or two. The Giants are slated to sign Smith-Schuster, Mike Garafolo of NFL Network reports.
Along with Smith-Schuster, the Giants are in line to add Odell Beckham and Braxton Berrios, adding depth to a WR corps that's led by Malik Nabers (knee), when healthy. In 17 regular-season games with the Chiefs in 2025, Smith-Schuster put up a 33-345-1 line on 45 targets, and with New York, the 29-year-old will have an opportunity to compete with Darius Slayton (abdomen) , Darnell Mooney, Calvin Austin, Malachi Fields, Isaiah Hodgins and Beckham for targets that don't go Nabers' way.
