Rashard Lawrence: Won't make 53-man roster
Lawrence was waived by the Cardinals on Tuesday, Ian Rapoport of NFL Network reports.
The 25-year-old started for Arizona the last two seasons under defensive coordinator Vance Joseph, but Joseph is now with Denver and Lawrence has been waived. He's appeared in 25 games throughout his three-year career, tallying 30 tackles, four tackles for loss and one forced fumble. The LSU product will be forced to look for a new home ahead of the coming season.

Cardinals' Rashard Lawrence: Competing for first team
Lawrence, who was placed on injured reserve in October with a shoulder injury, participated in training camp practice Thursday, Jess Root of Yahoo Sports reports.
Lawrence recorded 10 tackles and a forced fumble in five games with the Cardinals last season before going down with a shoulder injury in Week 5 against the Seahawks. He was placed on injured reserve and missed the rest of the 2022 season. Now that he's healthy, Lawrence is competing for a starting role on the defensive line alongside Leki Fotu and Jonathan Ledbetter.

Lawrence's placement on IR opens up a spot on the active roster for Rodrigo Blankenship, who had been on the practice squad.
