    Fox signed a two-year, $8.5 million contract with the Falcons on Friday, Matt Urben of USA Today reports. Fox spent the last three years with the Chargers and played in every single regular-season game over that span. He finished the 2024 campaign with 27 tackles (19 solo), including 3.5 sacks, and one pass defense across 17 regular-season games. Fox bolsters the Falcons' defensive-line rotation, and his addition should help mitigate the sting of losing Pro Bowler Grady Jarrett to the Bears in free agency.

  • Chargers' Morgan Fox: Free agent after 3.5-sack season

    Fox had 3.5 sacks among his 27 tackles (19 solo) and added one pass defensed in the 2024 regular season. Fox dressed for all 17 regular-season games but started only three. He added two tackles (one solo) in the Chargers' wild-card round playoff exit against the Texans.     The Chargers re-signed Fox on Wednesday, Lindsey Thiry of ESPN.com reports. Fox recorded career highs in tackles (38) and sacks (6.5) while playing every regular-season game during his first campaign with the Chargers in 2022. The 27-year-old defensive lineman has not missed a game since returning from a torn ACL suffered during OTAs with the Rams in 2018. He's also seen his overall production increase year-over-year while going from the Rams to the Panthers to the Chargers over the past four seasons. Fox will now look to maintain his starting role while on a new two-year on contract with the Bolts, according to Ian Rapoport of NFL Network.

    Fox totaled four tackles (three solo), including a sack, in Sunday's 31-10 victory versus the Rams. Fox made an impact early in the contest, sacking Baker Mayfield on the Rams' first drive of the game. It was Fox's fourth sack in his past four games after he notched just 2.5 sacks over his first 12 contests. With Sunday's sack, the veteran is up to 6.5 sacks on the campaign, surpassing the previous career-best six he set in 2020 while with the Rams.
