    Fox agreed to a contract with the Chargers on Wednesday, Aaron Wilson of ProFootballNetwork.com reports. Fox will reunite with Chargers head coach Brandon Staley, who was the defensive coordinator for the Rams in 2020 when Fox recorded a career-high six sacks. The defensive end struggled in his lone season in Carolina in 2021, but he'll look to bounce back while playing in a more familiar scheme in 2022.

  • Morgan Fox: Time up in Carolina

    The Panthers released Fox on Monday, Darin Gantt of the team's official site reports. Fox started nine contests (17 appearances) in 2021, in which span he accrued a career-high 34 tackles (16 solo), in addition to 1.5 sacks, one forced fumble and one fumble recovery. Now, the 27-year-old defensive end will look to earn a new contract on the open market.

Fox spent the 2018 season sidelined due to an ACL tear sustained during OTAs last offseason. He'll work towards achieving full health heading into the Rams' offseason program.     Fox (knee) suffered a torn ACL during OTAs on Thursday,Tom Pelissero of NFL.comreports. Fox's third season is thus presumably over with the news of his severe knee injury Thursday. He saw an increased role in 2017, racking up 19 total tackles and 2.5 sacks while appearing in all 16 games. The Rams are loaded on the defensive line, but Fox's absence could be felt on special teams.
