Bears' D'Marco Jackson: Re-signs with Bears for two years
Jackson re-signed with the Bears on a two-year, $7.5 million contract Monday, Jeremy Fowler of ESPN reports.
Jackson can earn up to $10.5 million on his new contract with incentives. He made the first four starts of his three-year NFL career during the 2025 regular season while appearing in 16 games. The 27-year-old linebacker spent the preceding two seasons with the Saints.

Bears' D'Marco Jackson: Career year in 2025
Jackson tallied 43 total tackles (18 solo), including 1.0 sack, and three passes defensed, including one interception, across 16 regular-season games in 2025.
Prior to his 2025 campaign with the Bears, Jackson was primarily a special-teamer, recording just 26 total tackles across 27 regular-season games with the Saints from 2023 to 2024. While he remained a key special-teams contributor in Chicago (273 special-teams snaps), the 27-year-old started the first four games of his career and logged a personal-best 259 defensive snaps. Set to hit unrestricted free agency this offseason, Jackson likely will find work as a reserve outside linebacker while continuing to contribute on special teams.

Bears' D'Marco Jackson: Huge performance in victory
Jackson posted seven tackles, including two solo, with one interception and 1.0 sacks in the Bears' 31-3 win over the Browns on Sunday.
Jackson has delivered highly variable tackle totals in four games as a starter, ranging from three to 15 stops, and this marked his first sack of the season. As long as he remains in an expanded role, his mix of splash plays and inconsistency makes him a volatile IDP option.

Bears' D'Marco Jackson: Makes five tackles in win
Jackson finished with five tackles (two solo) in Friday's 24-15 win over the Eagles.
The middle linebacker also played on every defensive snap for the second game in a row as Chicago continues to deal with injuries at linebacker to T.J. Edwards (hand), Tremaine Edmunds (groin), Noah Sewell (elbow) and Ruben Hyppolite (shoulder). Jackson should continue to see opportunities until Edwards returns.

Bears' D'Marco Jackson: Steps into major role
Jackson recorded 15 tackles, including five solo, in the Bears' 31-28 win over the Steelers on Sunday.
Jackson took over at middle linebacker with Chicago down its top three linebackers, leading to a full-time role. After logging only 32 defensive snaps and roughly one tackle per game before Week 12, his sudden workload makes him an elite IDP fill-in as long as linebacker injuries persist.

Jackson (hamstring) was a full participant at practice Wednesday.

Bears' D'Marco Jackson: Won't play against Dallas
Jackson (hamstring) is inactive for Sunday's game against the Cowboys.
Jackson registered an LP-DNP-LP practice log this past week while working through a hamstring injury. He has not progressed enough in his recovery to suit up Sunday, and his next chance to play is Week 4 against the Raiders on Sunday, Sept. 28. Ruben Hyppolite will serve as the Bears' top backup at outside linebacker behind Tremaine Edmunds and Noah Sewell in Jackson's absence.

Saints' D'Marco Jackson: Checks into preseason opener
Jackson (ankle) recorded one tackle (one solo) and a pass defensed during Sunday's 27-13 preseason loss against the Chargers.
Jackson spent the last four weeks of the 2024 season on New Orleans' injured-reserve list due to an ankle injury, but he was apparently healthy again for the start of the 2025 preseason. He played exclusively on special teams during most of his appearances last year and will have to compete for a spot on the Saints' final 53-man roster.

Saints' D'Marco Jackson: Won't suit up Week 15
Jackson (ankle) has been ruled out for Sunday's clash against the Commanders, Mike Triplett of NewOrleans.Football reports.
Jackson hurt his ankle in the second quarter this past Sunday against the Giants and didn't return. The third-year linebacker was unable to practice all week and thus will miss Sunday's matchup.
