Derek Hart: Let go by Green Bay
The Packers released Hart on Tuesday.
Hart served as the Packers' long snapper the last two games, with two of his less-than-stellar snaps playing a role in kicker Mason Crosby missing field-goal attempts in both of those contests. With longtime Packers snapper Brett Goode now eligible to rejoin the team after having been released from injured reserve earlier this season, Hart will lose out on a roster spot.

Packers' Derek Hart: Returning to Green Bay
Hart signed a contract with the Packers on Friday.
Hart will take over at long snapper for Green Bay after Tabor Pepper (foot) was placed on injured reserve. Per Rob Demovsky of ESPN.com, Hart may only stick around with the team for two weeks, as Brett Goode (hamstring), who had previously served the Packers' long snapper since 2008, is eligible to be re-signed after Week 10 after previously being released on an injury settlement in Week 4.

Derek Hart: Waived by Packers
Hart (illness) was waived by the Packers on Monday, Michael Cohen of the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel reports.
Hart has been battling an illness for a little over two weeks, which did him no favors during his position battle with Brett Goode. With Hart no longer in the mix, Goode appears to be the choice to start at center Week 1.

Packers' Derek Hart: Battling illness
Hart has landed on the Packers' injury report due to an illness, Rob Demovsky of ESPN reports.
Hart is attempting to win the role as the Packers' long snapper. He's in competition with Brett Goode, who re-signed with the team during the offseason, so a quick return to practice figures to be advantageous for his chances.
