Panthers' Popo Aumavae: Waived by Carolina
The Panthers waived Aumavae (Achilles) on Tuesday, Aaron Wilson of KPRC 2 Houston reports.
Aumavae spent the 2025 season on injured reserve with an Achilles tear and will now be waived after initially signing as an undrafted free agent in 2024. The defensive tackle has spent his NFL career thus far bouncing around the Panthers' reserve lists. Aumavae will become an unrestricted free agent if he clears waivers.

Panthers' Popo Aumavae: Reverts to IR
Aumavae (Achilles) cleared waivers and reverted to injured reserve Friday, Aaron Wilson of KPRC 2 Houston reports.
Aumavae is still recovering from the Achilles tear he suffered last July. The Oregon product was waived by Carolina on Thursday, and since he's cleared waivers, he'll now move to the team's injured reserve.

The Panthers waived/injured Aumavae (undisclosed) on Thursday, Darin Gantt of the team's official site reports.
Aumavae linked up with Carolina after going undrafted out of Oregon earlier in the offseason, but the team has now decided to part ways with the 25-year-old. Assuming Aumavae clears waivers, he'll revert to the Panthers' injured reserve and miss the entire 2024 season unless an injury settlement is reached.
