Emeka Emezie: Deal with Falcons comes to end
Emezie's (undisclosed) practice-squad contract with Atlanta expired Monday, per the NFL's transaction log.
Emezie joined up with the Falcons' practice squad Nov. 24 less than two weeks after he was waived from Carolina's taxi squad. The 24-year-old then finished the season on the practice squad injured list with an undisclosed injury, and the nature of this issue was never disclosed before the end of his contract with Atlanta. Emezie will look to make his NFL debut heading into the 2023 regular season.

Emezie's 2022 campaign comes to an early close due to the timing of his placement on practice squad IR. The rookie wideout will have to wait until 2023 for his next opportunity to push for an NFL debut.

Emeka Emezie: Lands new home
Emezie signed with the Falcons' practice squad Thursday, Michael Rothstein of ESPN.com reports.
Emezie will get a new opportunity after being cut from the Panthers' practice squad Nov. 14. The rookie wideout was invited to Carolina's rookie minicamp after going undrafted out of NC State, and he later landed a deal with the team. This news comes as the team also waived Bryan Edwards on Thursday.

Emezie was cut from the Panthers' practice squad Monday, Darin Gantt of the Panthers' official site reports.
After signing with the team's practice unit Nov. 7, Emezie will now look for another opportunity elsewhere. The wide receiver has yet to make his NFL debut after spending five seasons at NC State.

The Panthers signed Emezie to their practice squad Monday, Darin Gantt of the Panthers' official site reports.
Emezie is a 24-year-old rookie wideout who played five seasons at NC State. He caught 60 passes for 802 yards and six touchdowns as a senior but went undrafted before participating in Carolina's rookie minicamp. He'll work to earn a spot on a Panthers squad that ranks near the bottom of the league in passing yards per game.
