Chiefs' Mansoor Delane: Not available against Denver
Rotowire
Delane (shoulder) has been downgraded from questionable to out for Sunday's game against the Broncos.
Delane was initially given the questionable tag for Week 8 despite not practicing both Thursday and Friday. The Chiefs will now be without their rookie first-round corner and veteran defensive back L'Jarius Sneed (knee), the latter of whom was placed on injured reserve Saturday. Their absences for Sunday's AFC West tilt means more defensive snaps are available for the likes of Kristian Fulton, Jadon Canady, Christian Roland-Wallace and Jaden Hicks. Delane's next opportunity to play is Week 9 against the Jets on Sunday, Nov. 8.

Chiefs' Mansoor Delane: Questionable vs. Denver
Rotowire
Delane (shoulder) is listed as questionable for Sunday's game against the Broncos.
Delane missed each of the last two practices of Week 8 prep due to a shoulder issue, suggesting that the rookie first-rounder picked up the injury during Wednesday's session. The Chiefs have not ruled out Delane despite the missed practices, but if he's unable to play Sunday, then Kristian Fulton and Christian Roland-Wallace would be the top candidates to start opposite Nohl Williams at outside corner.

Chiefs' Mansoor Delane: Misses practice Thursday
Rotowire
Delane (shoulder) did not practice Thursday.
Delane practiced Wednesday, though after missing Thursday's session, he is now listed on the injury report ahead of Sunday's divisional clash with the Broncos. The 22-year-old rookie dealt with the issue during training camp, and while he managed to suit up in Week 1 against Denver, he aggravated the injury during the contest and missed the Week 2 overtime victory over the Colts. He has had a sound inaugural campaign, amassing 27 total tackles (17 solo), one interception and five passes defended. If Delane can't play in Week 8, Christian Roland-Wallace and Kristian Fulton would be in line for more playing time.

Chiefs' Mansoor Delane: Should return soon
Rotowire
Delane (shoulder) should only miss minimal time as he recovers from the injury he suffered in Monday's 31-10 win over the Broncos, Ian Rapoport of NFL Network reported Tuesday.
Delane picked off Bo Nix on Denver's opening drive. The cornerback's "Welcome to the NFL" moment was kinder than most, but it quickly flipped the other way as he was forced out of the game early with a shoulder issue. If the first-round rookie cannot heal enough to suit up for Sunday's game against the Colts, Nohl Williams and Kristian Fulton will likely start at outside cornerback for the Chiefs.

Chiefs' Mansoor Delane: Ruled out with shoulder injury
Rotowire
Delane (shoulder) has been ruled out for the remainder of Monday night's game against the Broncos.
Delane kick-started his NFL debut by intercepting Bo Nix on the Broncos' opening possession. The cornerback's injury may be a flare-up of an existing issue he struggled with throughout OTAs. With the first-round rookie ruled out, Nohl Williams will likely see more snaps at outside cornerback.

Chiefs' Mansoor Delane: Donning non-contact jersey
Rotowire
Delane (shoulder) is wearing a non-contact yellow jersey during training camp practices, Matt Derrick of ChiefsDigest.com reports.
Delane was forced to miss multiple minicamp practices while tending to a shoulder injury that has lingered into training camp and limited the rookie first-rounder to non-contact drills. It's unclear whether the LSU product will be available to play in the preseason, with the Chiefs' first exhibition game taking place Saturday, Aug. 15, against the Rams. Delane is projected to start opposite L'Jarius Sneed at outside corner, with Kristian Fulton, Kaiir Elam and Nohl Williams providing depth at the position.
