Broncos' Trey Johnson: Shines in HOF Game
Johnson finished Thursday's 14-10 win over Atlanta with four tackles, three passes defended and a key interception that set up the Broncos' game-winning drive.
The Broncos seem fairly set with their top four corners and so a question this preseason is whether the team keeps a fifth corner and -- if so -- who that'll be. Johnson made a solid case Thursday, albeit against less-than-stellar competition. The Villanova product is small, but flashes sub-4.4-40 speed that helped him blanket Falcons receivers. After missing the 2018 season with a shoulder injury in Pittsburgh, Johnson took a big step to finding a home in Denver.

Broncos' Trey Johnson: Signing with Denver
Johnson signed a contract with the Broncos on Thursday, Ryan O'Halloran of the Denver Post reports.
Johnson spent the entire 2018 season on the Steelers' injured reserve list, but he evidently proved his health at the Broncos' minicamp this week, which he was participating in on a tryout basis. The second-year Villanova product will compete for a depth role in Denver's Chris Harris-led secondary this spring and summer.

Trey Johnson: Waived from IR
Johnson (shoulder) was waived from the Steelers' injured reserve list Tuesday, according to the NFL's official transaction log.
Johnson was placed on IR in July after going undrafted last offseason. It's unclear what his shoulder injury was that led to his placement on IR or if he's still dealing with the issue. He'll look to catch on as a depth cornerback and special-teams player with another organization in 2019.
