Greg Joseph: Lands deal with Las Vegas
The Raiders signed Joseph to the practice squad Tuesday.
Joseph will provide the Raiders with a kicking option alongside Daniel Carlson, who has made just 12 of 16 field-goal attempts this season. Carlson missed a potential game-tying 48-yard kick wide right in the fourth quarter last Thursday night against Denver. Joseph kicked in games with the Giants, Commanders and Jets last season, making 16 of his 20 field-goal tries and all 11 of his extra points.

Greg Joseph: Released by 49ers
The 49ers release Joseph on Monday, Matt Barrows of The Athletic reports.
The team signed Joseph in May to compete with incumbent Jake Moody for the placekicking job. After two weeks of training camp, the 49ers apparently have seen enough to know that Joseph isn't their guy, leaving Moody as the probable Week 1 starter.

The 49ers are slated to sign Joseph, Matt Barrows of The Athletic reports.
In a combined eight regular-season appearances in 2024 (split between the Giants, Commanders and Jets), Joseph made 16 of 20 field-goal attempts, along with all 11 of his PAT tries. With the 49ers, Joseph will have an opportunity to compete with 2023 third-rounder Jake Moody, who has been San Francisco's kicker for the last two campaigns.

Jets' Greg Joseph: Accurate on short kicks
Joseph made his only field-goal attempt from 20 yards and converted all three of his PAT tries in Sunday's 32-20 win over the Dolphins.
Joseph wasn't asked to do anything difficult but converted all four of his short kicks, which is more than the Jets got out of their kickers for most of the season. The 30-year-old kicker out of Florida Atlantic will hope to secure a consistent job somewhere in 2025 after splitting eight appearances in 2024 between the Giants, Commanders and Jets. Joseph made 16 of 20 field-goal attempts overall in 2024, with a long of 52, as well as all 11 of his PAT tries.

Jets' Greg Joseph: Handling kicking duties in Week 18
The Jets will sign Joseph off their practice squad Tuesday and have him handle kicking duties in Sunday's game against the Dolphins, Jeremy Fowler of ESPN.com reports.
Joseph signed with New York's practice squad last week and will get a quick call-up to the 53-man roster. He'll become the fifth different kicker of the season for the Jets and will replace Greg Zuerlein, who returned from an eight-week stint on injured reserve due to a left knee injury but didn't attempt any kicks in this past Sunday's 40-14 loss to the Bills. The Jets haven't yet announced whether Zuerlein will be cut loose, placed back on IR or be made inactive for Week 18, but he'll give way to Joseph in any case. The 30-year-old Joseph has previously made seven appearances this season between the Giants and Commanders, converting 15 of 18 field-goal tries and eight of eight extra-point attempts.

Greg Joseph: Added to Jets' practice squad
Joseph agreed to a contract Tuesday with the Jets' practice squad, according to a social media post from his agent, Brett Tessler.
Though Joseph will start out on New York's practice squad, interim head coach Jeff Ulbrich implied Monday that Anders Carlson's job was in jeopardy after the kicker missed an extra-point attempt as well as a 49-yard field goal in this past Sunday's 19-9 loss to the Rams. If the Jets elect to move on from Carlson, Joseph could be a candidate to be elevated for the Week 17 game in Buffalo and would become New York's fifth different kicker of the season. Per Zack Rosenblatt of The Athletic, Ulbrich added that Greg Zuerlein (knee) -- who has missed the last seven games while on injured reserve -- could also factor into the team's plans at kicker this week, though Zuerlein will first have to resume practicing. Joseph has previously appeared in seven games with the Giants and Commanders this season, converting 15 of 19 field-goal attempts and going 8-for-8 on extra-point tries.

Greg Joseph: Parts ways with Washington
Joseph was cut from the Commanders' practice squad Monday.
Joseph signed with Washington's practice squad Dec. 13 and was elevated for Week 15 against New Orleans. In that contest, he went 2-for-3 on field-goal tries and made both his extra-point attempts, but he reverted to the practice squad shortly thereafter. Joseph's opportunity with the Commanders came as a result of injuries to Austin Seibert (groin) and Zane Gonzalez, who was dealing with a foot issue at the time of Joseph's elevation. However, with Gonzalez back to full health and Seibert eligible to return from IR, Washington no longer has a need for Joseph's services.

Joseph handled the kicking duties for the Commanders in Sunday's win against the Saints due to Zane Gonzalez (foot) and Austin Seibert (groin) being sidelined. Joseph could be Washington's kicker against Philadelphia in Week 16 if Gonzalez is unable to make enough progress in his recovery to play.

Commanders' Greg Joseph: Handling Week 15 kicking duties
Joseph will serve as the Commanders' kicker in Sunday's game at New Orleans with Zane Gonzalez (foot) inactive for the contest, Nicki Jhabvala of The Washington Post reports.
Joseph will become the fourth different kicker that Washington has used this season, following Cade York, Austin Seibert (groin) and Gonzalez. York is now with the Bengals, and Seibert isn't eligible to return from injured reserve until Week Week 18, so with a good showing Sunday, Joseph could retain the kicking job for multiple games if Gonzalez isn't able to quickly move past the foot injury. New York ruled out Joseph on Friday due to an abdominal injury that likely happened in practice, and he'll now join Graham Gano (hamstring) on injured reserve.
