Whyle got moderate hype during training camp as he attempted to unseat Chigoziem Okonkwo as the top tight end in Tennessee. Titans' Josh Whyle: Left off injury report
Whyle (concussion) wasn't on Tennessee's injury report Wednesday ahead of Sunday's Week 1 contest against the Bears, Jim Wyatt of the Titans' official site reports.
Whyle missed the latter part of August with a concussion, but it appears he's cleared protocol just in time for the Titans' Week 1 outing. With Whyle back at full health, he's expected to serve as Tennessee's top backup tight end behind Chigoziem Okonkwo this season.

Titans' Josh Whyle: Returning this week?
Head coach Brian Callahan told reporters Monday that he's hoping to get Whyle (concussion) back practicing this week, Jim Wyatt of the Titans' official site reports.
The second-year tight end has missed over a week with a concussion, but it appears he's nearing a return to the field after his head coach's comments Monday. Whyle appeared in 11 games in 2023, recording nine catches for 94 yards and one touchdown. He's expected to serve as the Titans' top backup tight end once he clears concussion protocol.
