Camren McDonald: Leaving LA
The Rams waived McDonald on Monday.
McDonald signed with Green Bay as an undrafted free agent but was ultimately sent packing early in training camp. He subsequently latched on with the Rams and was competing for a depth tight end role. The rookie ultimately came up short in his quest, but there is still a possibility the team could offer him a role on its practice squad.

Camren McDonald: Gets let go
McDonald was waived by the Packers on Tuesday, Rob Demovsky of ESPN.com reports.
McDonald joined Green Bay as an undrafted free agent out of Florida State in May. After starting camp on the non-football injury list, he did manage to pass a physical and get back out on the field Wednesday. However, he'll now have to work to find an opportunity elsewhere.

Packers' Camren McDonald: Passes physical
McDonald (undisclosed) was removed from the Packers' active/non-football injury list Wednesday, Aaron Wilson of KPRC 2 Houston reports.
Just five days after going on the active/NFI list, McDonald has passed his physical. Now that the undrafted rookie out of Florida State is healthy, he will be competing for a spot in an unproven yet crowded tight end room in Green Bay. He's currently listed sixth on the Packers' depth chart, so it seems like the best-case scenario is for him to make the practice squad.

Packers' Camren McDonald: Begins camp on NFI list
McDonald (undisclosed) will start training camp on the active/NFI list, Aaron Wilson of KPRC 2 Houston reports.
McDonald landed with the Packers as an undrafted free agent this offseason. He is the third rookie tight end on the roster, as Green Bay reloaded at the position with Luke Musgrave and Tucker Kraft during the draft. He seemingly is a long shot to land on the final 53-man roster, but he is still eligible to practice and play in the preseason at any point.
