  • Rams' Marquise Copeland: Re-signs with Rams

The Rams re-signed Copeland on Monday, Gary Klein of the Los Angeles Times reports.

Copeland is coming off of the best season of his career, logging 31 tackles (16 solo) and one sack in 15 games. The 2019 undrafted free agent should have ample opportunity to build off of his production from last year and compete for playing time next season as the Rams currently lack depth at defensive end behind Aaron Donald.

  • Rams' Marquise Copeland: Ready for return

Copeland (ankle) does not have an injury designation ahead of Sunday's game against the Chargers, Jourdan Rodrigue of The Athletic reports.

Copeland has missed each of the Rams' last two games but practiced throughout the week, including a full session Friday. Prior to suffering the injury, Copeland served a rotational role along the Rams' defensive line and had tallied 23 total tackles with one sack across 13 games.

  • Rams' Marquise Copeland: Set for second consecutive absence

Copeland (ankle) has been ruled out for Sunday's matchup against the Broncos, Jourdan Rodrigue of The Athletic reports.

Copeland suffered the injury in the Rams' Week 14 win over the Raiders. He was unable to practice in any capacity leading up to Sunday's contest, so it's unclear when he may be able to retake the field. Copeland has served in a rotational role along the defensive line this season, and his absence should set Jonah Williams up for extra playing time.

  • Rams' Marquise Copeland: Ruled out

Copeland (ankle) has been ruled out for Monday's matchup against the Packers.

Copeland suffered a sprained ankle during the team's Week 14 win over the Raiders and didn't practice at all during Week 15 prep, so it's not surprising to see him ruled out for Monday's matchup. With Aaron Donald (ankle) also out, Michael Hoecht, Larrell Murchison and Jonah Williams are the Rams' only healthy defensive ends currently on the active roster.

  • Rams' Marquise Copeland: Suffers ankle sprain

Copeland (ankle) suffered a high ankle sprain in Thursday's 17-16 victory over the Raiders.

Copeland recorded four tackles (one solo) before exiting the contest. He was on the field for 36 snaps (60 percent) and is currently without a timetable for return.

  • Marquise Copeland: Clears COVID-19 protocols

The Rams restored Copeland from the practice squad COVID-19 list Friday.

Copeland cleared the league's COVID-19 protocols and can immediately return to team activities. The 23-year-old defensive tackle hasn't suited up since making his NFL debut in Week 1 against the Cowboys.

  • Marquise Copeland: Shifts to COVID list

Copeland (undisclosed) was placed on the Rams' practice squad COVID-19 list Tuesday.

Copeland either tested positive for the virus or is a high-risk close contact of an infected individual. The 23-year-old won't be able to return to the Rams' facilities until he clears the NFL protocols.
