Hatten was suspended for five games by the NFL on Tuesday, Aaron Wilson of KPRC 2 Houston reports.
Hatten is currently a free agent after not being able to secure a spot on the Seahawks' 53-man roster during training camp. It's unclear why the Idaho product was suspended, but he'll now be forced to miss the next five weeks, likely ensuring he'll remain a free agent during this time.
