Player Outlook
Folk had a quality season in 2021, and he's worth drafting as a No. 1 Fantasy kicker this year with a final-round pick. Folk finished as the No. 2 Fantasy kicker in 2021 behind only Daniel Carlson. Folk made 36-of-39 field goals, including five from 50-plus yards, and 42-of-47 PATs. The Patriots under Bill Belichick have always had quality Fantasy kickers, including Adam Vinatieri and Stephen Gostkowski, and Folk proved he can be just as successful last year. Based on New England's offense, Folk has the chance to repeat his production this season, and he should be drafted as a starting Fantasy option in all leagues.

  • Patriots' Nick Folk: Back with Patriots

Folk signed a two-year, $5 million contract to remain with the Patriots on Monday, Tom Pelissero of NFL Network reports. Folk put together a consistent 2021 season, converting 36 of his 39 field-goal attempts and 42 of his 47 extra-point attempts. That was enough for the Patriots to commit to him for a pair of additional campaigns. Folk played through a knee injury for much of last year, but he otherwise has shown no signs of slowing down despite the fact that he will be 38 years old for half of the 2022 campaign.

  • Patriots' Nick Folk: Records 150 points in 2021

Folk made 36 of his 39 field-goal attempts and 42 of 47 extra-point attempts during the 2021 regular season, totaling 150 points over 17 games. Folk, who has been in the NFL since 2007, easily eclipsed his previous career high in points (131) through his first 16 games in 2021, then added six more in the team's regular-season finale to tie Las Vegas' Daniel Carlson for the league lead in that category. The 37-year-old, who managed a left knee issue down the stretch, is slated to become an unrestricted free agent this offseason. His strong campaign should land him a kicking job in 2022, though it's unclear if New England inteds to bring him back. Quinn Nordin -- who recently signed a future contract with New England -- would be an option if Folk isn't re-signed.
