Steelers' Tyson Alualu: Activated off active/PUP list

The Steelers activated Alualu (undisclosed) off the active/PUP list Monday.
Alualu missed all but two games last season due to a fractured ankle, but it remains unclear if that issue and his placement on the PUP list to start training camp had any correlation. Regardless, now that the 35-year-old veteran is healthy, he'll look to reclaim his spot on the interior of Pittsburgh's defensive line. Before his injury last season, the 2010 first-round pick had appeared in all but two regular-season games over his prior four campaigns with the Steelers.
Alualu (undisclosed) was placed on the active/PUP list Tuesday.
Alualu missed all but two games last season due to a fractured ankle. However, it's unknown if this is the reason he was placed on the PUP list. The 35-year-old veteran is expected to be a significant piece in the middle of the Steelers' defensive line.
Alualu (ankle) is ready to return next season and is expected to start, Chris Adamski of Triblive.com reports.
Alualu went down with a fractured ankle in Week 2 and spent the rest of the 2021 season on IR. Prior to that, the 11-year veteran had never missed more than two games in a season in his career, and his return should be a boost to the Steelers defensive line.
