  • Jordan Szwarz: Inks deal overseas

Szwarz signed a one-year contract with Torpedo Nizhny Novgorod (KHL) on Wednesday.

Szwarz spent the bulk of the 2019-20 campaign playing in the AHL with Belleville for which he notched 18 goals and 18 helpers. In his three games with Ottawa, the winger failed to register a point while averaging a meager 4:55 of ice time. At this point, it seems unlikely the 28-year-old will get another opportunity to break into the NHL.

  • Senators' Jordan Szwarz: Sent down Sunday

The Senators re-assigned Szwarz to AHL Belleville on Sunday.

Szwarz got the call with Artem Anisimov (lower body) forced to miss last Monday's game, but was unable to provide a point in three games. The 28-year-old only averaged 4:55 of ice time in his time, so it's likely he wasn't going to make a huge difference from a fantasy perspective. With his demotion, look for a banged up Senators' forward group to get someone back for Monday's road game against the Stars.

  • Senators' Jordan Szwarz: Moves up to NHL

The Senators recalled Szwarz from AHL Belleville on Monday.

With center Artem Anisimov (lower body) likely to sit out Monday's game against the Wild, the Senators brought up Szwarz and Nick Paul from the AHL ranks to provide added depth at forward. If Szwarz ends up cracking the lineup Monday, he'll likely be limited to a bottom-six role.

  • Senators' Jordan Szwarz: Signs one-year contract

Szwarz secured a one-year, two-way deal from the Senators on Monday that will pay him $800,000 at the NHL level.

After racking up 23 goals and 23 assists for AHL Providence last year, it shouldn't come as a surprise to see the 28-year-old land another contract. Whether the center can earn more play time, he saw action in just 12 games for Boston, remains to be seen, but a spot on the 23-man roster for Opening Night certainly isn't out of the question.

  • Bruins' Jordan Szwarz: Laces up for just 12 games during 2017-18

Szwarz dished out three assists through 12 games in the 2017-18 season, while averaging 11:30 of ice time.

Although Szwarz didn't have a big role this season, he's never skated for more than 26 games over his three NHL campaigns, and didn't skate in an NHL game last year. Nonetheless, the 27-year-old was fantastic in the minors, scoring 48 points (21 goals, 27 assists) in 52 games for AHL Providence and impressively going plus-30 in the process. The big handicap to Szwarz's game is his low 5-foot-11 frame. He'll return to Boston in 2018-19 for the last season of his contract, and if Szwarz doesn't receive a roster invitation following training camp, he'll presumably be a popular option for recall.

  • Bruins' Jordan Szwarz: Sent to Providence

The Bruins have assigned Szwarz to AHL Providence.

Meanwhile, the 26-year-old forward signed a one-year contract extension with the Bruins through the 2018-19 season worth $650,000 at the NHL level and $350,000 at the AHL level. Szwarz, who has logged 19 goals and 44 points in 46 AHL games to date, has recorded three assists in 12 contests with the big club this season. His return to Providence will bolster the team's ranks up front down the regular season stretch run and leading up to the Calder Cup playoffs.

  • Bruins' Jordan Szwarz: Recalled by Bruins

Szwarz was recalled by the Bruins on Tuesday.

Szwarz, who has logged 19 goals and 44 points in 46 games with AHL Providence, will boost the banged-up Bruins' depth up front. In previous stints with the big club, Szwarz recorded three assists in 10 contests. While the 26-year-old brings a degree of offensive skill to the table, chances are he won't see enough ice time with Boston to make a big fantasy splash.

  • Bruins' Jordan Szwarz: Emergency recall Friday

Szwarz was recalled from AHL Providence on an emergency basis Friday.

Szwarz was likely called up as an insurance option with Frank Vtrano (lower body) ailing and the Bruins scheduled to go to work for a road game against the Canucks on Saturday. The 26-year-old winger has amassed more points (35) than games played (34) with the Baby Bruins this season -- which supplements three assists over 10 appearances at hockey's highest level -- so he could be a sneaky value play if deployed in the next one.

  • Bruins' Jordan Szwarz: Reassigned to AHL

Szwarz was sent down to AHL Providence on Monday.

Szwarz has been bouncing between Boston and Providence recently as the big club has dealt with injuries. The 26-year-old has spent the last few seasons mostly in the minors, and that's likely not going to change anytime soon.

  • Bruins' Jordan Szwarz: Promoted to parent club

Szwarz was called up from AHL Providence on Saturday, TSN reports.

The Bruins sent defenseman Rob O'Gara to the minors to free up the roster spot for Szwarz, who has provided three assists -- including a power-play helper -- through nine games this season. It would be a reach to go after him in any kind of fantasy league, but he's at least proven to be a decent depth option for the B's .

  • Bruins' Jordan Szwarz: Heads back to AHL

Szwarz has been assigned to AHL Providence.

Szwarz, who has logged three assists in nine games with the big club to date, heads back to Providence, where he's recorded five goals and eight points in six games. With the Bruins having been hit hard by injuries up front, Szwarz was needed of late, but he's the odd man out now that Ryan Spooner is ready to play again.

  • Bruins' Jordan Szwarz: Recalled Wednesday

Szwarz was recalled from the Providence Bruins of the AHL on Wednesday.

After news broke that David Backes would be missing the next eight weeks following an operation to treat diverticulitis, Szwarz was the first name the team called for reinforcements, and rightly so. In just six games with Providence, the 26-year-old has five goals, eight points and a plus-7 rating. Szwarz has 35 games of NHL experience, though he hasn't played in the league since the 2014-15 season. With the Bruins currently lacking depth at center, Szwarz could be afforded an opportunity to play his way into the Boston lineup permanently -- especially if Matt Beleskey and Frank Vatrano continue to struggle.

  • Bruins' Jordan Szwarz: Joins lineup Thursday

Szwarz will be in the Bruins' lineup Thursday against the Golden Knights.

Szwarz can play either on the wing or at center, plus he can kill penalties, so he'll get a shot to make a case for a role up front with the B's, with the team dealing with several injuries to regular forwards. Szwarz has 35 games worth of NHL experience to his credit, having scored four goals in that span. His last NHL stint was with the Coyotes in 2014-15, but a strong start with AHL Providence this season (5/3/8 in six games) was enough for the 26-year-old to earn a call-up to Boston.

  • Bruins' Jordan Szwarz: Heading back to AHL

Szwarz was reassigned to AHL Providence on Monday.

Szwarz stuck around with Boston's camp for its first 10 days before being cut. The Bruins then recalled the player to participate in their final preseason contest Saturday, a 1-0 loss to Chicago. Expect the veteran forward to spend the vast majority of 2017-18 in the AHL, as the Boston organization is loaded with young, talented forwards.

  • Bruins' Jordan Szwarz: Suits up for final preseason game

Szwarz was recalled and played in Boston's final preseason game Saturday, falling 1-0 to Chicago.

The veteran forward's participation in Saturday's contest allowed the Bruins to rest some of their regular forwards, though he doesn't have much of a chance to make the Opening Night roster. Boston has a plethora of talented young forwards in their system, so a mid-season recall for Szwarz is doubtful, as well.

  • Bruins' Jordan Szwarz: Waived Monday

Szwarz was placed on waivers for the purpose of being assigned to AHL Providence on Monday.

Szwarz was given a solid look during Boston's training camp, though ultimately he'll start 2017-18 with Providence. The 26-year-old winger enjoyed his best professional season in 2016-17, tallying 54 points in 65 AHL games, though he remains an unlikely candidate to be recalled to Boston throughout the course of the coming campaign.

  • Bruins' Jordan Szwarz: Pens two-way deal

Szwarz inked a one-year, two-way contract with the Bruins on Saturday.

Szwarz has 35 NHL contests under his belt in which he notched four goals and 21 PIM. This past season with AHL Providence, the former fourth-round pick racked up an impressive 54 points in 65 outings along with a plus-20 rating. If the 26-year-old can continue to perform in the minors, it won't be long before he gets promoted to the big club.

  • Coyotes' Szwarz To Miss Training Camp

Szwarz will miss all of the Coyotes' upcoming training camp after suffering an injury while working out during the offseason. The Coyotes didn't disclose the nature of Szwarz's injury, but since he won't have the benefit of skating during training camp, it's likely that he'll have his season debut delayed. The 24-year-old is expected to provide organizational depth with the Coyotes' AHL affiliate, for whom he tallied nine goals and 22 points in 45 games during the 2014-15 campaign.
