Malgin picked up a shoulder injury in Switzerland's 5-1 loss to Canada on Friday during Olympic round-robin play, per Elliotte Friedman of Sportsnet.
Head coach Patrick Fischer announced that Malgin was one of three players injured in Friday's contest. The 29-year-old forward served in a top-six role for Switzerland in each of the team's first two games of Olympic action. His status will be monitored closely ahead of Sunday's clash with Czechia in Group A.

His third-period marker was much more skillful, as he finished off a pass from Valeri Nichushkin for what ended up being the game-winner. Prior to Saturday, Malgin had gone eight games without a goal since scoring twice against the Blackhawks on March 20. Malgin has scored in back-to-back outings, and he has five goals over his last 11 contests.
