Lightning's Simon Lundmark: Sent back down
Lundmark was reassigned to AHL Syracuse on Saturday.
Lundmark was on the NHL roster for two days but didn't appear in either of the Lightning's two games. The 25-year-old served as injury insurance on the blue line and could be called up for that purpose again if the team remains thin on defense.

Lightning's Simon Lundmark: Summoned from minors
Lundmark was recalled from AHL Syracuse on Friday.
The Lightning were down to only six healthy defensemen, before Lundmark's recall. Lundmark has yet to make his NHL debut, as the 25-year-old has spent the last five years in the minors. He inked a two-way deal in the offseason after spending four seasons in the Jets' minor league system. Lundmark had two assists in 15 AHL games before his recall.

Lightning's Simon Lundmark: Lands on waivers
Lundmark moved to waivers Sunday to be assigned to AHL Syracuse.
Lundmark notched four goals and 14 points in 66 games with AHL Manitoba in the 2024-25 regular season. Assuming he clears, he will probably spend most, if not all, of the 2025-26 campaign with Tampa Bay's top minor-league affiliate.

Lightning's Simon Lundmark: Signs two-way contract
Lundmark agreed to terms on a two-year, two-way contract with Tampa Bay on Tuesday.
Lundmark spent the past four seasons playing for AHL Manitoba without ever reaching the 20-point threshold. Selected by the Jets in the second round of the 2019 NHL Draft, the organization was likely hoping for more out of the blueliner, hence the decision not to give him a qualifying offer. With his new organization, Lundmark figures to be primarily a minor-league depth option and probably shouldn't be expected to see much, if any, NHL action this year.

Simon Lundmark: Becoming unrestricted free agent
Winnipeg did not present a qualifying offer to Lundmark on Monday, according to Ken Wiebe of The Winnipeg Free Press.
Lundmark posted four goals, 14 points, 28 PIM and a minus-21 rating over 66 contests with AHL Manitoba in 2024-25. The right-shot defenseman has yet to appear in an NHL game, and he'll look to sign with a new team ahead of the 2025-26 season.

Jets' Simon Lundmark: Recalled by Winnipeg
Lundmark was recalled from AHL Manitoba on Monday.
Lundmark was sent to the minors ahead of the regular season, and he's recorded two goals and four assists over 22 appearances with the Moose to begin the year. He's expected to serve as an extra defenseman during Monday's game in Toronto, and it's unclear whether he'll remain in the NHL following the league's Christmas break.

Jets' Simon Lundmark: Waived for reassignment
Lundmark was placed on waivers by Winnipeg on Thursday, Mitchell Clinton of the Jets' official site reports.
Lundmark has yet to make his NHL debut, which could help him pass through waivers unclaimed and land with AHL Manitoba. Still, the 2019 second-round pick put together a strong camp while also offering some offensive upside after garnering 17 points in 67 minor-league games with the Moose last year.
