Mintyukov's lower-body injury is a bone bruise that kept him out of the last eight contests of 2023-24, Derek Lee of The Sporting Tribune reports.
Mintyukov sustained the injury on a Jakob Silfverberg shot in a game versus the Oilers on March 30. Mintyukov is expected to be recovered in time for the 2024-25 campaign.

Mintyukov has two helpers over his last three contests. The 20-year-old rookie continues to stick in the Ducks' lineup, but his role -- particularly on the power play -- has fluctuated in recent weeks. He's at 27 points, 83 shots on net, 77 hits, 59 blocked shots and a minus-17 rating through 59 appearances. Mintyukov should be considered a bottom-four option on a low-scoring team for the remainder of this season, giving him limited fantasy appeal.

With three goals and 26 points on the season, Mintyukov is having a solid rookie campaign. He has scuffled lately, though, as he has no goals in his last 12 games, and Sunday's helper was only Mintyukov's third assist over that span. He's getting ice time and the production hasn't completely dried up, but Anaheim isn't scoring in droves, which makes it hard to depend on production from Mintyukov.

Mintyukov earned the first shorthanded point of his career when he set up Brett Leason's first-period tally. The 20-year-old Mintyukov topped 20 minutes of ice time for the first time since Dec. 5 with Ilya Lyubushkin getting scratched for a trade and Cam Fowler (face) exiting the game after one shift. Mintyukov is up to 24 points, 67 shots on net, 66 hits, 47 blocked shots and a minus-12 rating over 48 appearances this season. Mintyukov would likely slot onto the first power-play unit if Fowler's injury costs him playing time.

He has remained in a bottom-four role and on the second power-play unit since his return, which has capped his fantasy value.

Mintyukov has been eased back into action on the third pairing over the last two games after he missed a month with a shoulder injury. The 20-year-old's goal Thursday was his first since Dec. 18. He's up to three goals, 20 points, 62 shots on net, 51 hits, 44 blocked shots and a minus-12 rating over 42 appearances in his rookie season. Mintyukov was seeing first-unit power-play time before the injury, but Cam Fowler is currently in that role.
