Canadiens' Jared Davidson: Returned to AHL Laval
Davidson was reassigned to AHL Laval on Saturday, according to Renaud Lavoie of TVA Sports.
The Canadiens acquired Phillip Danault from the Kings on Friday, pushing Davidson down the depth chart one more spot. He had been a healthy scratch in his four previous games and needs the playing time he will see at the AHL level. Davidson has one assist in 10 NHL games this season.

Canadiens' Jared Davidson: Earns first NHL helper
Davidson notched an assist and two hits in Sunday's 4-3 loss to the Blues.
This was Davidson's first point in eight career NHL games, all of which have come since his Nov. 14 call-up from AHL Laval. The 23-year-old forward has been playing on the fourth line when in the lineup, so his chances to score will remain limited unless he carves out a larger role. Davidson has supplied seven shots on net, 17 hits and a minus-2 rating so far.

Canadiens' Jared Davidson: Called up by Montreal
Davidson was recalled from AHL Laval on Friday.
Davidson hasn't yet made his NHL debut, but he's been productive in the minors early this year, racking up nine goals, two assists and 19 PIM over 13 appearances with Laval. He could see time in the Canadiens' lineup if Alex Newhook (lower body) is forced to miss time.

Canadiens' Jared Davidson: Scores twice in Laval's win
Davidson scored two goals on five shots in AHL Laval's 4-2 win over Utica on Saturday.
Davidson has four goals and an assist over seven games to begin his third year with the Rocket. The 23-year-old center is on the second and final year of his entry-level contract, and it's not clear if he's shown enough in the minors to earn a qualifying offer this summer.
