Jets' Thomas Milic: Returned to minors
Milic was reassigned to AHL Manitoba on Monday.
In a corresponding move, the Jets brought up Domenic DiVincentiis. This swap of goalies is likely as a way to get Milic back into the crease for the Moose. With Connor Hellebuyck (knee) still on the shelf, it's possible we see these two young netminders switched again in the future. For now, Milic heads back to AHL Manitoba, where he is sporting a 2.14 GAA and a 5-2-2 record in nine outings this year.

Jets' Thomas Milic: Needed in relief Saturday
Milic stopped nine of 11 shots in relief of Eric Comrie in Saturday's 6-2 loss to the Oilers.
Comrie was stuck with the loss after a poor first period, but Milic didn't fare much better even as the Oilers eased up over the final two frames. Milic has made two relief appearances in the last four games. He's now allowed eight goals on 62 shots over three NHL outings. The Jets are spiraling without Connor Hellebuyck (knee), but Milic hasn't shown enough to earn a larger share of playing time as the team tries to tread water for the next month or so.

Jets' Thomas Milic: Allows two in relief effort
Milic turned aside 15 of 17 shots in Monday's 5-1 loss to Buffalo.
Milic entered the contest at the start of the second period in relief of Eric Comrie. The 22-year-old Milic is now 0-1-0 with a 3.64 GAA and an .882 save percentage through his first two NHL appearances. While he's yet to find the win column, Monday's outing was a step forward in the long road to becoming a consistent NHL netminder. With Connor Hellebuyck predicted to be sidelined until January due to a knee injury, Milic should have more opportunities to play moving forward. His next chance to take the ice is Wednesday in Montreal.

Jets' Thomas Milic: Falls short in NHL debut
Milic allowed four goals on 34 shots in Friday's 5-1 loss to the Hurricanes, who also scored an empty-netter.
Milic did his best to keep the Jets in the game for 50-plus minutes, but the Hurricanes' relentless pressure took over late in the contest. The 22-year-old ended up with a rougher final line than he deserved in his NHL debut, but this was an excellent first test for him. Milic will likely have to make a handful of starts while the Jets await the return of Connor Hellebuyck (knee). Expect Eric Comrie to get the nod Saturday in Nashville.

Jets' Thomas Milic: Starting against Carolina
Milic will start on the road against Carolina on Friday.
Milic is making his NHL debut. He has a 2.14 GAA and a .921 save percentage in nine appearances with AHL Manitoba this season. He's up with the Jets because Connor Hellebuyck (knee) is unavailable. Carolina is a tough team to get for a first assignment -- the Hurricanes are 14-7-2 and rank fourth in the league in goals per game with 3.43.

Jets' Thomas Milic: Recalled from AHL
Milic was called up from AHL Manitoba on Friday.
The Jets are in need of a goaltender after learning that Connor Hellebuyck requires arthroscopic knee surgery and will be out of action for 4-6 weeks. Eric Comrie will be the No. 1 goaltender in the interim with Milic backing him up. Milic has been terrific at the AHL level this season, posting a 5-2-2 record with a 2.14 GAA and a .921 save percentage across nine starts.

Jets' Thomas Milic: Posts shutout against Tucson
Milic recorded a 26-save shutout in AHL Manitoba's 2-0 win over Tucson.
This was Milic's first win of the season. He's allowed seven goals on 77 shots so far. Milic struggled to a 5-12-3 record with a 3.44 GAA and an .877 save percentage over 21 regular-season games with Manitoba last year. He's sharing the crease with Domenic DiVincentiis for now, though neither goalie has much of a chance of being a major factor at the NHL level this year as long as Connor Hellebuyck and Eric Comrie stay healthy.
